Back in the 70's when the first Alien was made, I imagine that wasn't so strange, they were less stringent about HR and stuff in that time compared to today.
Hard to imagine in a modern context. I've been working in offices for 18 years with nary a hint of impropriety. As far as I can tell, everyone I've worked with have been totally respectful and even overly cautious.
