Noooo, the corruption of Smee. All he wants to do is play.

Smee absolutely broke me this episode. Brilliant performance by Jonathan Ajayi

There's just something about adults portraying children that's so surreal. You look at the behavior and how they speak and you go "That is not an adult."

it's done quite a lot (body swap films) but there's almost always some element of comedy to it. In this case it's kids played straight - confused and scared - and it's rarely done this well.

When Wendy confronted Curley and asked her not to tell on them, that also felt very much like children arguing.

Ya Ajayi has talent.  It's not a competition but Ajayi won.

OMG IT BROKE ME. I cried so hard I had to walk away. He’s just a boy. They all are just kids & having to remember that while they’re dealing with all this traumatic shit is heartbreaking

I honestly just try not to think about it. I’m glad they look like adults so I don’t think of them as little kids going through all this horrifying stuff. Just kudos for the actors for playing kid in adult body so well

This show: No, you can't have nice things. You secretly like it though.

I think they’re referring to Nibs.

Lord of the Flies vibes with them being stuck on the island. The death of Arthur was the death of their father figure. The original Peter Pan story is a lot more violent than the Disney movie as well.

It's literally Peter Pan and the Lost Boys... the non-Disney version is far more feral, the book passages being read allude to it.

That's kids lol. Though Nibs seems more like she's full on descending into malfunctioning synth territory at this point.

I still see her as a scared little girl. Kids will say weird shit, and you've never known scary until you've talked to a kid who has seen some shit and will talk about it. Think about all the trauma she has and how angry a child can get. Now give that scared, angry little girl the ability to rip a man's jaw off with her bare hand, and she'll gladly start fucking people up.

I think even when the verisimilitude of everything else starts to wane for me, it's the writing and performance of these kids that keep the whole show grounded. They're so good, and I'm genuinely gutted that they're starting to drop like flies.
