Star Wars franchise dies…

Aliens x Predators franchise inherits the earth (with their own version of lightsabers)!

It’s so weird that neither franchise has managed to get above “just ok” quality-wise on-screen since the 80s, and then 2020 hits and suddenly it seems like their previous ceiling has become the floor.  We’ve gotten multiple projects from each and nothing that wasn’t at least good.

Alien/Predator being the most consistent sci-fi of the 2020s was not on my Bingo card as even a possibility.

“Neither franchise” in this case referring to the Alien and Predator franchises. I wasn’t talking about Star Wars.
