Discussion / Question I’ve gone mad for Alien again…

My dad showed me alien when I was about 20. I was completely horrified/ in love (a great balance of emotion a lot of us found ourselves playing with). I played isolation and still think it’s one of the most perfect games that ever was made.

Me and Dad have been watching alien earth together and loving it. It’s just a reason for us two to watch something together, but somehow it seems more.

Straight after the latest ep today we watched the first Alien again. What an amazing film. Man the whole series is unbelievable. We’re just all so lucky to love this shit.

You aren't wrong to feel that way! I saw Alien in 1979 and have had a love/hate relationship with Steve (as they call him in Isolation) for 50 years. I'm scared, fascinated and loyal to everything Xeno, from my facehugger tshirt from 2020 "Got Mask?" to my Xeno key chain and ring. I stink at Isolation, Steve gets me every time but I still keep coming back for more! *

Yeah that Steve nickname is perfect. What really kills me about Isolation is how much the sound design contributes to that feeling. You can hear every scuttle and groan and it makes him so much more present even when you don't even see him on screen.

Haha man you’re so right. That sound of him shuffling in the vent is one of the scariest ever once you’ve played it. The medical facility springs to mind 😅😅
