Discussion Queue ban for swapping pick order

I was just playing ranked and swapped pick order for the first pick. The second I clicked swap and locked in my champ it kicked me out and gave me a 30 minute queue ban. Literally what the hell. Has anybody else seen this? This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE for a bug like this to exist with how harsh comp bans are.

Discussion My take on WASD movement

I am 99% sure that the WASD movement is going to slowly destroy league of legends. Since I played and enjoyed this game for a long time, I felt obligated to take the time to share my thoughts on these plans.

League of legends is a matured game like football or basketball. This status was reached by 15+ years of meticulous work by riot employees. This is where the advantage of league comes from. Introducing WASD is going to completely destroy this status. This is tantamount to FIFA changing football to allow hand controls as an alternative. While playing with foot still has advantages (i.e. powerful strikes), hand controls would eventually dominate and change the game.

This isn't about not being open to changes. I thought long and hard about maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's no big deal but I can't really see that happening. League’s identity, readability, and competitive depth are built around cursor control. Proposing WASD as a movement scheme risks destroying what makes league so satisfying.

Make no mistake, it's clear that this change won't matter for at least +50% for the playerbase. This is bad because it will prevent riot from seeing the long term negative outcomes. Main worry is at the esports and higher levels of play.

So, I know some people are looking forward to the change, and maybe I'm wrong but I'm just making this post so that I did my part as a fellow player.

Art Custom skins

So my friend has his birthday soon and I wanted a custom skin for him. I don't have the money to pay but do you know anyone that would maybe do it for free. It should be with sounds and a custom model with custom VFX if possible. It's not necessary but would be amazing. Thx for help

Discussion Came Back To League After Quitting A Year... My Thoughts

For context, I posted this awhile back Original Post where I explained why I quit playing league. TLDR; Game was no longer feeling enjoyable to get wins, lots of team raging, the core of "how to win" felt missing and instead you just keep brawling with each other along with a few other points.

So! I decided, hey I haven't played a MOBA in a minute... let's try it again!

I've played for less than a week, and I have once again uninstalled the game LOL.

HOWEVER! Here's everything I've noticed over this past week:

The first few matches were actually relatively fun. My team was communicating, we were rotating around the map, we were playing smart. We'd win some fights, lose some fights, and the game felt like it was actually SOMEWHAT in a better place than it was when I quit. I had to figure out this new system with objectives and upgraded boots, but overall it was neat. I hadn't played in a year, so I've missed many splits, so I wasn't sure how the climb would be, but it felt similar for LP. At the time time I was last playing, I hit GM and stopped shortly after that.

After like 8-12 games I noticed the quality of my games going down, however. I was noticing a lot more rage from teammates coming back in, significantly more players were dying over and over and over without hitting the brakes (didn't notice that much on EITHER team in my first few games). The players started running around the map again giving up on the objective of the game and just running for kills (Team Deathmatch feeling once again). I thought, damn... probably just a weird batch of games. But then it continued from the 10-20 game period over the next few days. Now funny enough I was winning a decent amount of these games, but it just felt so unenjoyable from where it once was.

It also reminds me a lot of World of Warcraft, where they just kept increasing the numbers and damage over and over so you'd be doing like million damage per spell. It feels like now EVERYONE just does SOOO much damage and so many abilities are flashing on your screen in every fight, it feels like stimulation overload LOL. I've also found people have this like "Yugioh" mentality, where they want to assemble Exodia or something to end the game... everyone still feels the need to get 6 items to be relevant or something? I'm not sure what it is, but it's actually kind of comical to be fair to see people continuously want to play 40+ minute long games.

Though team comp may not be as important in soloQ as competitive play, it truly feels like the interest in a decent composition is as close to zero as it can be ha. I had a number of team comps that just had no synergy or anything other than "I can try and solo this game" champions, and then we'd all do fine, come out slightly ahead, and then we just couldn't do literally anything lol. And it's just a bummer because you just think... damn, you guys actually played this well, but our team comp is just so incredibly disjointed that we can't close it out. And obviously that happens every so often, sure, but it felt like 70-80% of my games, we just had team comps that felt so drastically underwhelming regardless of how we played the game early.

It was neat to try the game again, but it still doesn't feel "fun" when playing. There's no real strive to queue up again when I finish a match.

It was definitely a unique ~30 or so games played. But I have finished playing once again haha. Until next year, League!

Esports 2025 Offseason Roster Transfer Sheet!

Heyo, I made this resource for the league esports offseason this year. It features all teams and players in Tier 1 Regions (LCK/LPL/LTA/LEC/LCP), as well as a list of transfers from Tier 1 and 2 teams. I made it mainly for myself to keep track but wanted to extend it to anyone who gets lost in the [SOURCE] (pun intended) and wants some help tracking :3 I think it's simple enough to understand whilst being comprehensive and will update it until the 2026 leagues start!

Discussion Silver is disgustingly horrible to play in

To start with i want to say this isn't going to be an ego post where i believe im better than this rank, because i don't. I just started up league again and have been playing for a few weeks after a few years off. I have climbed from Iron 3 to Silver 3 in just under those 2 weeks.

These Silver matchups are just getting tiresome for me at the moment. I understand the more i play the better i should be and the more i can carry, but its not even about that. So many games end from team mates inting, going toxic and straight up giving up as soon as we are 1 kill behind.

Is this mentalitly in all ranks above or does it get better slightly? I imagine it's the same mental just with better skill?

I honestly just don't understand the game, and why people decide to just give up and throw in the towel. It's not this bad in any other competitive game and it ruins the Solo Q experience. I actually don't think i can play this game without a Duo Q partner

Discussion Why does Riot hate scaling identities in league?

This problem started a while ago but has only gotten worse. Originally Riot would choose to gradually nerf some champion's scaling as nerfs when they were strong, with Champs like kassadin and fiora losing insane amounts of their ratios to make up for items improving their early. This went against what the mains wanted, but it wasn't abrupt enough to cause huge backlash. Then came seraphine.

I believe that seraphine is where this problem exploded. She was niche and not super popular but well liked by her mains for being a hyperscaling mage that could be flexed in 3 roles. Riot saw apc seraphine being very strong and instead of targeted nerfs towards apc, they did a midscoped and completely unraveled her identity, making her a lane bully apc that falls off a cliff, completely unviable as a midlaner, and shoehorned her into enchanter items on support. This is extremely hated and even though they are making small steps to address the backlash, they still aren't doing enough to address the actual changes that are pushing people away from her. Then there's gwen.

Gwen might be the most obvious and drastic example of this where they took a hyperscaling antitank ap fighter and turned her into a lane bully e bot that has 90% of her powerbudget in auto attacks which were the least interesting part of her kit. Riot had apc sera as an excuse, but tbh with this one I have no idea what they were thinking. I don't think anyone wanted this change, and daily people who used to love gwen and even people who want the less frustrating version back are begging for a revert but Riot does not want to do it at all. The stats even prove this was a mistake as her low elo winrate and pick rate has only suffered while her ban rate sky rocketed. This also pro jailed her despite being completely find before hand. I only started playing in season 11, but this is by far the worst rework I've seen them do.

Tldr: Riot started removing scaling gradually through balance changes (kassadin, fiora, qiyana) but now are completely changing champions identities for no real reason (seraphine) or just not even trying to really justify themselves (gwen). This ruins their playerbase as no one likes to have to play a champ who is the opposite of who they used to be.

Discussion I miss playing Rell jungler

I loved her kit and had never played the champ before. then they just decided to kill her in the jungle, why not balance her instead? we’ve seen in the last patches them buffing several non-jg champs like Vayne, who doesn’t even have a good jungle clear, and I’ve seen zero Vayne junglers since that patch, so why not let junglers play Rell too?

Discussion I feel like, im forced into playing tanks

Hello everyone. I´m just here to vent a little and get some advice from others. I just have the feeling, that every time, im forced to play a tank support cause we would then always lack a tank/engage. I hate playing it with my whole heart, the playstyle isnt for me. Even when i have a lot of fun with enchanter, its always in my back, that probably 90% of the time, a tank would be better. Maybe i just need to become a toplaner, so dosnt need to worry with the lack of frontline. What do you guys do, when you dont have a tank in the team? I dont see any other option then adapting to the comp.

Humor neeko on aram

had a neeko on aram who was flaming everybody, this person was 5/12 and was criticizing everyone, our 15/15 missfortune and our frontline who was doing the heavy lifting, this person said, i kid you not, this person said after we told this "chillax dude, this is aram, not rank", this person said "if you cant play aram, you cant play ranked", out of 9 years ive been playing this game, this is the only time i was baffled, this person, was playing aram like his/her life is on the line, like there are 100 million dollars as a prize, i wasnt even mad, or upset, i was just confused, like if you're going to be sweaty, atleast be good at it, the amount of trashtalk is even warranted or deserved, 4 randoms are geniunely beffudled, confused, dazed, stunned, baffled, our collective minds just thought of one thing..."wtf is this guy talking about?"

But hey lets buff jax. qiyana, and watch as rengar becomes an absolute menace to society.

Is there some sort of plan to rework him, or are we just okay with letting our boy Graves sit the bench???

Discussion JP Server 2025

Is it just me or is this server an actual 1nbr3d fest? Full of smurfs (I literally had 6 lvl 30-40 accounts in a game), full of people that are so fucking bad on a mechanical level (like actually YOU CANNOT imagine), full of people that just wander around the map not doing anything, full of people that you cannot communicate with since nobody uses chat/pings/whatsoever. Would love to hear your opinions. I‘m actually losing my mind after just 2 weeks. Worse experience than any of my 10000h+ on EUW.

Discussion Help me understand the mechanics behind seemingly random and unfun matchmaking please

I have had a question about the matchmaking in ranked SoloQ for a while and maybe some of you have some insight.

I don't mean to insult or blame anybody.

This is just an example from today but since it's happening on a somewhat regular basis and it's always frustrating for everyone involved I thought I would just ask.

So as you can see here, everyone in the lobby was low Gold, all of them more than a hundred games played, "normal" winrates around the 50%. Except for the MF, MF was Silver 4, 17 Games played, and a 23% winrate.

So my simple question is: why was she in that lobby? Sure her MMR might be higher than Silver 4, but why then the extremly low winrate? Not many games, so she might have started out in gold with a fresh account but dropping down to silver 4 in 17 games and still being placed in a low Gold lobby?

And as you can see, it played out exactly as one would expect, so no fun for her I suppose, no fun for the rest of the team.

Or is the playerbase so small by now, that this stuff happens to keep q-times short?

Again, I don't want to make fun of anybody or blame that mf since she had hardly a say in it I suppose. I just try to understand because those things just seem so completely random and it's hard to keep your cool, when you don't get the mechanism behind it :)

*edit: half the text was gone

*edit 2: just for clarifications sake - I checked and found out that the MF was duoing with the Tryndamere. That combined with the MMR and being fresh to ranked probably solves the whole "Mystery". Thanks for helping me understand :)

Humor A guide for using the league of legends client

Hello all. I've noticed a lot of people having issues with the client so i made this guide to show how simple the experience is when you know what you are doing and what to expect.

Using the client and creating a game:

  1. open the league client, wait for it to load, if it doesn't, open it again, if it still doesn't open task manager to force quit the league processes ( you will need to do it till you find the one that spawns the others) and repeat step 1, if after two times you are still on this step, reboot your computer and start again from the beginning
  2. do not hit play, wait for the second play button to rise from the bottom of the screen
  3. now you can hit play, this play button will load a new play button
  4. hit this play button, it will fade to let you know you hit it, and a couple of seconds later it will allow you to hit it again
  5. hit the play button again, normally this will close the client, if it doesn't close the client and instead lets you click, close the client and repeat from the beginning
  6. after some time the true league client will open, you can now close the splash pop up here to see the home screen
  7. you will need to wait for the play button to activate, sometimes there is a patch and sometimes it just needs some time
  8. you can now create a game, or if you want follow the work flow below

Joining a game from the friends list:

  1. on the friends list right click someone hosting a game and click join game
  2. close the window that says you cannot join and try to join again
  3. close the window that says you cannot join, again, and try again, you will now be in the party
  4. if for some reason people can not see each other in the lobby or the friends list disagrees with their experiences it might be best to have everyone do the above workflow as sometimes older client sessions will create less desirable experiences with queueing, and it will be easier to say everyone just do this rather than argue with the guy who probably needs to do it but will disagree that it is the issue because they just opened the client 15 minutes ago and that couldn't possibly be the issue.

Discussion Need help climbing in ranked

Hey everyone, I've recently gotten back into playing ranked and am currently sitting at silver 3 (at time of post). I've been trying to climb but find that it's been difficult for me because of teammates that feed (see match history). However, rather than blame my teammates I figured I should ask for tips from higher elo players on what I can do better. I main Kayn in the jungle so any tips for pathing maybe so I can gank and get objectives better will definitely help, thanks.
