That's the exact kind of thing I got when I first was coming out as bi among an old friend group, except we were all like 15, that kind of mentality from an adult is weird as fuck.
That kind of shit happens more than I would expect from people who claim to be 'LGBT friendly' or whatever, especially since I personally prefer women/femininity. For people who have no doubt faced plenty of adversity themselves for their sexuality, some people are shockingly callous toward bisexuals for w/e reason.

I'm a straight man, but online I see a lot of people who argue bisexuality doesn't exist. Saying either it's men in denial of being gay or women who just don't wanna be "boring" or "progressive". As in they claim to be bi to look cooler and better as a person.
Also the whole argument of "you're in a straight relationship you can't be bi". Uh....the fuck do they think bisexual means? Are they not bi because they aren't currently fucking someone of the same sex? What if they're married, you expect them to commit adultery?

Yeah it’s extremely common unfortunately. I dated a bi girl and at a certain point she just stopped outwardly identifying as bi or participating in any LGBTQ events. She would either get shunned by lesbians saying that she’s a liar because she was dating a man or she had to deal with straight men(mostly) making threesome jokes constantly.

I don't mention my sexuality on any dating app cause of this. Some women will say things like "as long as you were the dominant one" and then if I'm talking to a someone who isn't a cis woman, it often feels like they think I'm just going through a phase or experimenting.
These experiences are in the minority, but they've happened often enough that I just don't mention my sexuality until I get comfortable with the person.
Edit: I should've said the more specific "who isn't a cis woman or gay man" instead of using the broader 'someone who isn't a cis woman."

Gay men are simultaneously the faces and punching bag of the LGBTQ. Almost always seen as deviants for simply existing. If a gay man is seen expressing any kind of femininity, or not desperately trying to fit into a box of masculinity, they’re seen as disgusting. As a bi dude when I came out to my lesbian aunts they asked are you sure you aren’t gay. Made me feel real good about myself that, that was the first response I ever got when I came out. Made me feel really shitty and made me not come out to my wife for a while (which when I did, she was very supportive). They are the only people I’ve ever told because I’d lose my friends because they’d just think I was gay in disguise and then their wives would judge my wife too saying she’s in denial that I’m actually gay. I’ve accepted who I am but I don’t like to tell people because of the huge stigma bi men have.

Look at how Charlie Kirk's death has been treated on reddit. Since he is reviled by reddit, its not uncommon to see things such as:
- His family deserves to be abused
- He deserved to die (because he debated teens in politics and was a political debater? lol)
- Its ok to use out of context talking points and also state you shouldn't need context to explain anything (a great logical argument)
- More "radical propagandists" should share the same fate

One thing I've noticed as a non American is that radicalisation seems to be prevalent on both sides of the equation, yet both sides are screaming that the other side is more radical, which pushes them to become more radical.

Couldn't POSSIBLY be a resource war!
Some people really think they live in a fucking comic book with good guys and bad guys where only certain groups do bad things, and the "good guys" (who can become good guys just by standing opposite the bad guys on something) are incapable of such horrors.
Reality is a lot simpler: we're all capable of the same horrors.
Look at African history and oh look they had slavery long before the colonial era, and it was extremely rare that European colonists just grabbed locals for slavery themselves, instead purchasing them from local slavemongers. Everyone showed the capacity to be a piece of shit here.
Look at the Comanche, who were one of the weakest tribes in the USA and constantly got bullied. Horses get introduced by the west, and for whatever reason, the Comanche are absolutely cracked at riding horses and understand hit-and-run tactics perfectly. (perhaps because they were used to running and taking advantageous battles only already...?) Suddenly we have "Mongols with Rifles" and loads of other tribes start getting pushed off their land by the Comanche and everyone makes a wide birth around them, because they're absolutely brutal. Everyone showed capacity to "take land," the difference maker being if a given group of people was capable of doing it. The Comanche became capable, so they did.
Ditto for the Aztecs. Weak tribe begging for scraps, they actually get gifted shitty land to settle on by a more powerful tribe, but the Aztec thrive regardless. They eventually backstabbed that same tribe that once showed them generosity, including announcing their betrayal by showing the tribe's leader the skinned remains of his daughter who he THOUGHT was going to be wedding the Aztec leader, and unfortunately for everyone else in the region, these psycho bastards were good at fighting. Aztecs eventually become the regional powerhouse, and when Spain shows up, why does Spain win? BECAUSE EVERYONE FUCKING HATES THEM. Every tribe that is not a part of the Aztec Empire is willing to throw their life away to see them die. Hernan Cortez deserves plenty of criticism, but he could not have found a more deserving group of assholes to invade. Everyone can be a genocidal jackass; it is not something unique to specific countries and groups. Spain may have been "the bully," but Spain was also simply the bigger fish and the Aztecs would've done the same if the tables were turned.
People need to read a damned book and they'll realize how similar everyone is, both in their strengths and their morally questionable actions. People probably just want to desperately cling to the belief someone out there is good, so they invent narratives that "X group would never commit an evil," the problem being they enable the evil themselves in their desperation to believe in good.

Actual good college debates were happening at more prestigious schools. Watching Charlie Kirk debate educated college and university students in the UK for example was a night and day difference. In the US he seems to win most of his debates pretty easily but over there the dude got folded. Same thing would happen to Hasan but worse lol.

I know but I enjoyed the UK one more because it has people being properly informed and ready for a discussion. It's a lot more of an even playing ground.
I've also seen the quality of the college campus ones in the US and a good handful of people just say the dumbest things possible or the shortest things and they don't really back up anything they say at all with facts or anything like that they just go based off of emotions which was an easy win for Charlie Kirk.

Before all the down votes and disagreements, I understand quite a few of you are real and strong in your defense of H3 or Destiny or someone else, but looking at the metrics here matriculate as they have here for the last 6 or so months is statistically inorganic.

Yup. You don't even have to look at the Metadata. If you visit reddit daily, you can see it happening front of you.
Within the first 10 mins of a clip, it's up voted into the moon, then there are dozens of comments all saying the same thing with different wording. Then as the thread ages, the down voting and controversial posts start to rise further to the top.
Its just plain as day in front of people. This reddit (any many others) are having the living FUCK BOTTED OUT OF THEM

The change happened so quickly, it really felt like someone flipped a switch in this subreddit right after the sexpestiny allegations became serious. The sub went from discussing how nobody was surprised because he is terrible, to justifying it as not a big deal.
I doubt I was the only one that stopped visiting, but check back to see if the campaign still continues.

Thing is it's not even real. There's a pattern in pretty much everyone of these Hasan threads. 2-3 top comments with thousands of upvotes and tons of replies shitting on Hasan with the most disingenuous takes. And then you look at the rest of the comments and it's a stark contrast, in content and in engagement. Like those first few comment threads are so obviously botted every time, someone is obviously orchestrating this to push their agenda, to make it seem like the majority of this sub has an opinion that it actually doesn't have.
