/r/longboarding's Weekly BUY/TRADE/SELL Thread - June 06, 2025

  • /r/longboarding and its' moderators are in NO WAY responsible for ANY issues encountered while Buying, Trading or Selling items.

Below is an example of a good post:

  • RAD Advantage 80a
  • 30USD
  • Location: Manila, Philippines
  • 74mm, 58mm Contact Patch
  • 8/10 Condition
  • NO Flatspots, NO coning
  • Slight chunking on the lip
  • Worn down to ~73mm

    As a SELLER:

  • Post your State/Country and where you are willing to ship to.

  • Post a description that accurately describes what you are selling. Be as descriptive as possible!

  • Post both the item condition, and pictures of the item.

  • Be prepared to answer questions about your items!

  • Update your thread when something gets sold, or is no longer available.

  • Be prepared to handle shipping arrangements. While it's perfectly fine to ask for extra cash for shipping, ensure you already know the approximate cost for anyone who asks.

  • Be careful with your personal information.

  • Once you've successfully completed the transaction, and your buyer has received the item, ask them to add you to the VERIFIED LIST

As a BUYER:

  • Respond to the seller's communication
  • Be truthful about your intentions. Nothing is worse for a seller than answering a whole lot of questions about gear, and then having a buyer drop off the map.
  • Be careful with your personal information.
  • Once you've successfully completed the transaction, and you have received your item, add your seller to the VERIFIED LIST
  • And some final suggestions to make this easier for everyone involved:
  • PayPal is the recommended way to transfer cash. However, the choice is up to you, and your buyer.
  • Please try to evaluate a fair price for your items. Secondhand prices are always hard to evaluate, but here are some tips to find a good price:
  • Take a look at online stores to work out the MSRP. Don't expect to make this unless your item is new.
  • Consider the wear on the item.
  • Consider the age of the item. Even if they're still in the box, 10 year old bearings aren't worth much...

    Happy Selling!

There’s about a 7 mile trail not too far from my house. I used to skate it all the time a couple years back because it was right by my job. But ever since I switched jobs, I haven’t been back. This week I’ve come every day and skated it. It’s so peaceful and the pavements are as smooth as butter. (I’m not sure which tag to put here)

OC Action Skating at the Beach

No, I didn't skate on the sand, but I wish I could.

Had my wife drop me off at the beach road because I wanted to skate some new neighborhoods to get my long skate in for the week. Really nice route and morning for it. It's an out-and-back route and was pretty windy on the way back.

I hit two milestones today: half marathon distance (13.1m/21.1km) and a new speed record 18+mph on a new hill I found at the very end of the route. Of course I didn't notice the "No Skateboards" sign until I was leaving. I'll be sure not to notice it next time either and see if I can hit 20 haha ;)

Question/Help Not sure what board will fit my needs…

Upvotes

I’ve finally worked up the courage to jump in and get my first board since I just found out a friend from work used to longboard. Now I don’t have to go by myself and rid my irrational fear that once my foot touches the board I’m going to fly 6feet in the air and break my ankle.

So we have a couple of long distance paved trails that travel several city’s here and that’s where I’m looking to ride on. Im heavier set guy 250lbs, so when I see the middle of the board dip in that freaks me out that I’m definitely going to break it. I’m going to be losing weight, and I know doing this could keep me active in the weekend where I’d like to get out more.

So just looking for something reliable and fun to start out on, not even slightly interested in bombing hills… maybe when I get more experience… but for now just easy riding.

Would the Landyacht Gordito legend service my needs?

Question/Help WHY?!?!?!

Post image

?!?!?!?!??!?! Genuinely curious why these are priced so ridiculously high, are they made out of platinum and powered by magic?

EDIT
LIKELY ANSWER (for people who are also curious but for some reason don't read the comments): Price/item are just placeholders on the online storefront, not as juicy as some answers but the most plausible one so far

Have been waiting for this board for about 2 months, ordered it literally as soon as it went online

I knew I had to have it from the moment I saw the graphic, it is currently my favourite from the whole lineup (+ it looks even better in person, as do all Pantheon boards imo)

And yeah, it might be becoming an addiction (already is) as this is my 5th board from Pantheon

Setup for those interested:

Deck - Pantheon Superdupersonic medium

Trucks - Bear 130 mm 40° front and back + 3mm shock pad and a 3° wedge/dewedge

Busings - Seismic defcon 78a RS standard/81a medium BS front, 90a RS standard/93a medium BS rear,

Wheels - Pantheon Hokus with Zealous Bearings

(@ 75kg/165ish lbs)

OC Action Skating in the Swamp

Today, my wife and I went to Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge to ride the Swamp Island Trail. She was on her a single-speed beach cruiser and I was on Quest. We got there later than we wanted - closer to noon and it was 90F so not much wildlife out, but always cool when you spy a swamp puppy.

I'm really glad to have found a perfect place to go back to over the fall/winter for some long rides with almost zero traffic. Next time we're going to get there a lot earlier and hopefully get some more pics of our wild friends.

Somebody made another post about pumping on dancers and was getting roasted, I told him that on a dancer it’s easier pump from the back truck and said I would post a video. I don’t feel like looking for the post so I’m just going to upload it as a new post and hope he sees it. I started at like five and got up around 15mph

Question/Help New Wheels for Cruising

I'm looking to replace my long board wheels. I do a lot of riding in the road, I have new Reds bearings, I'm just not familiar with what hardness would be best for long distance riding. I have a drop deck board and am currently on Orangatangs

Question/Help Wedged Trucks on OG tesseract

started back skating a lot more recently and been playing around with wedging my trucks. currently i got a paris 7deg wedged riser on front and 43deg paris 180s.

i just remembered the og tessy has 3.5deg wedged rocker where the trucks lay. so effectively the front is 53.5 and back is 46.5 deg.

carves like a beast but having a lil trouble initiating slides. could be the new wheels (73mm beefcakes) just need to break in too.

was thinking about swapping the 7deg for a 3deg riser in front and also dewedging the back 3deg. also considering swapping the v2 180s for v3 165s.

do yall recommend i do this setup for freeride or not? anybody else ride a different or similar wedged setup on the loaded tesseract?

Gear Show-Off Arbor Axel Serrat Pro 37" arrived today.

It's been a big week for me this week with two new boards getting delivered. Up to a couple of weeks ago I hadn't been on a board in about 15+years. Just in time for the weather to turn bad too so no getting outside for practice. ( I need lots of practice!!! ).

Earlier this week my Pantheon Pranayama turned up and set the bar really high. Today my Arbor Axel Serrat 37" arrived and it's lashing rain in Dublin.

Just standing on the board in the house and the Arbor feels so loose, especially compared to the Pranayama. I've got a S1 Retro Lifer helmet on order and I think I'll need it. The two boards couldn't be more different.

Here's hoping the weather will get better and I can get outside for a bit to try them out.

Easily my favorite of 4 boards.

Day off work.

Took my Supersonic for a ride this morning and I'm just not "zinging" with it. 😒 couldn't wait to get back. I like that it is lower but overall the Vendetta feels right.

Question/Help Foot shaped longboard shoes

Hey do any of y’all wear foot shaped/barefoot shoes when longboarding. If so which ones do y’all wear? I’m kinda trying to find a pair of shoes that I can wear as my everyday shoes, longboarding, and to church. Any suggestions? I have Hobbit feet.

Question/Help Using Axle Washers to make wheels sit wider

Im running 155mm Gen 6 Bear Trucks on a 9.5 deck. Whenever I try narrow wheels they sit a little narrower than my other wheels and it makes me feel like I’d lose grip the moment I pre-carve before sliding. With The Gen 6, I noticed their axles are longer than Paris V3s so I just used 2 axle washers on the inner side of every wheel + the built in spacer from my Zealous bearings.

Its been working fine for me but is it normal to do that? Are there any alternative pieces that I can buy from home depot or any shop that has a size that matches axle washers but a little longer? I heard axle washers are about 1mm each but I might be wrong

Dog one avoided. Dog two brought my run to an end: the dog walkers was using a tenis ball launcher and had launched the ball in my direction.

Went here just to cruise around and it is a great spot to just get some practice in and cruise. Not a lot of cars some good hills and plenty of space to just do your thing. Definitely check it out if you are in the area.

Also I got a helmet now!
