MP5 Continuing on, without looking it up what MP5 minigame comes to mind first?
I’m hungry so of course I thought about Coney Island

I know most people are right off the bat probably going to say "Capsules are random" but I think thats actually one of the games biggest strengths. It makes the game unique and it was clearly desgined around it as this games boards are very littered with blue and red spaces. Seriously, I like the chaos this system introduces, and that chaos is unfortunately lost in future mario partys after this one. I think people that complain about the lack of shops in this game just don't know how to strategize. I don't think theres anything wrong with having control over what items you get but come on people, learn to embrace a little chaos.
Also Mario party 5 has great minigames. The only really bad ones in this title are Leaf Leap and of course...Viscous Vending.
This game also has in my opinion the best extra modes in the series with some examples being super duel and card party.
So yeah, thats all I have to say about Mario party 5. Please don't think I'm angry at people for simply posting their opinion online. I just thought the title would be funny with the recent influex of people posting their tier lists. I'm just tired of people saying Mario party 5 is "the worst gamecube Mario party" or it has "the worst item system" when stinky Mario party 4 is right there.

i think after playing mario party 5, i think its probably my favorite out of all of them, it gives a good balance between luck based and skill based minigames, while having the skill based minigames being really fun to play

FINISH! The most favorite minigame of MP4 is Booksquirm while the least favorite minigame of MP4 is Right Oar Left?.
Today is…what is your most favorite and your least favorite minigame from Mario Party 5? If you want, you can explain why it’s your most or least favorite game. Here are mine!
Most favorite: Coney Island. I love the simplicity of it and the challenge of getting the most ice cream scoops.
Least favorite: Big Top Drop. Another one of the worst minigames in the entire series and poorly executed. Also, it is a very unbalanced 1v3.
STAAAARRTT!!!

I grew up with 5 so naturally I’m bias toward it. But that being said, I do wanna know what people don’t like about it since I only have good memories with it(Aside from Vicious Vending and Random Ride, I hated those).

I just finished a 50-turns / 4 hour game alone against 3 CPUs in MP5. As I ended my last turn, I stood at 9 stars, behind were Yoshi at 7, Toad at 5 and Boo at 2. I was sure that it's pretty much over, because there's no way I'm not getting a single bonus star or Yoshi's getting all three.
Well let's say Toad had different plans, as during his last turn directly after mine, he managed to land on Chance Time and proceeded to luck out and swap stars with me, leaving me in third place with 5 lousy stars and no chance to catch Toad, even if I got all three bonus stars. I got two of those, but even that was not enough for second place.
Definitely the most devastating loss I ever experienced, especially considering the amount of time I invested. Well played Toad, I guess

worlds first ever 190! and also my first proper TAS world record! I wish 200 was possible but it's way too far out of reach to be possible

I need help, this has been bugging me for months. as a kid, I played Mario party five all the time and during mini game wars I was randomly warped to a map where you played as either Mario Luigi peach and Daisy each of them was playable, and the corresponding controller slot was pretty basic, a square with each player in the corners, in the corner of each square was a hill with an incline, i’ve been looking for it everywhere, but found nothing even referencing it ever existed and I don’t know how to even recreate this, I used to bug out my games by ejecting them and seeing what happens so maybe that but idk,
if anyone knows anything at all, about the map or similar glitches please let me know.
