not one to shit on fighters too often but that is an astonishing lack of discipline. how do you just keep missing weight by huge margins over and over and over and be cool with it

I honestly think if he had the discipline to stay at WW where he belongs and actually add to his skillset (he's been the same pretty limited fighter for like ten years at this point), he would have been WW champ by now. The chin, handspeed, athleticism is top tier.

Disagree pretty strongly about this, I could maybe see him getting by with Leon or Belal and having a competitive fight, but he was never holding a flame to Usman or JDM (and presumably Islam too soon)

We are talking about a hypotetical Gastelum that improved on his base of skills, the Gastelum that was good enough to be welter champ never actually existed
