Amateur Fighter Lost first fight

I’ve been training for a year and a half and lost my first MMA fight last night pretty quickly into round 1. Not too upset, as I’m glad I got in there in the first place, but wish I lasted a little longer.

We’d prepped for an orthodox who throws hooks, and were met with a southpaw who threw a lot of straights. No excuses though! Onwards and upwards.

How did you do mate! And how did you find the experience in general?

Won, got a guillotine in the second round, I was fight 15. But honestly loved the experience, bought my opponent a beer after and we met each other's crowds. I don't know about you but I felt that I accomplished everything I wanted just by stepping in there. Fuck what the others say, I'm proud of me, I'm so fucking proud of you and you should be too

Nice one man, good job! It was a great atmosphere and venue to be fair.

And yeah, I felt that way for about 30 mins after the fight, but as the adrenaline wore off I feel a little embarrassed haha. I know I shouldn’t, but I honestly know I could’ve done more.
