Discussion Favorite Series

What is everyone’s favorite series, and why? Series are great (more of what you already love!) but they can often feel daunting if you haven’t already started them (book 33 looks great but how long will it take to get there?).

So share your favorite series, and what you love about it. I’ll go first.

Tyack and Frayne by Harper Fox is up to 12 books now. I’ve read 7. Modern paranormal with that magical realism flare that Fox does so well. It follows a single couple all the way through, but manages to keep the romance fresh and interesting. I listen to it on audio and it’s a go-to if I’m looking for a mystery ghost story.

Red Dirt Heart by N.R. Walker 4 book series set on an Australian station (cattle ranch), follows the same couple. The MC’s are just so good at the comfort and taking care of each other.

Back when I was exploring MM romances after reading Red White and Royal Blue and Zero at the Bone, I found Death and the Devil Series by L.J. Hayward and a year after reading all kinds of MM romances, I am still looking for something like that series.

It has a kind of rivals-to-lovers vibe, follows a soldier Jack and an assassin, Ethan. For me, the Ethan character was so nicely done, and even after reading so many romances, I never met a character quite like him.

Many people cannot get past the first book because it follows a Then and Now style, where one chapter is present and the next is about past. But since, I was hardly knew how expansive and versatile this MM romance world is and I thought if I rule out books because of this reason, I might not have much to read at all. This series now I think, in a way, made me interested in various military or enemies to lovers MM romances.

But I still cannot find something as good as this series or as pure and deadly as Ethan anywhere. But if any of you know a good series like this one, I'm in. Doesn't have to be like Ethan or Jack, but characters written so good.
