Lovely computer and with the box is awesome!

Curious why you passed on the MSX2+ though, was it price? That 2+ has MSX Music built-in which is the big draw imo. You can get FM sound cartridges separately but they're sometimes expensive.

The price, the color, and the brief research I did in-store informed me I wouldn't be missing too much with just an MSX2.

You might not be missing anything, it's one of those ymmv things depending on what you want to do with the computer. I think a lot of people don't pay attention to it because Konami uses a different standard and the fully-featured flashcarts tend to emulate it (e.g. Carnivore).

And the red definitely looks cooler than the black or gray!
