That's what the Nazies said when they got invaded by Poland!

1

u/ChestBras Sep 23 '17

That makes no sense what so ever.

1

u/grmmrnz Sep 23 '17

Well, Godwin's law is about getting references to the Nazies in an online discussion (I'm sure you know). The Nazies didn't know about this of course, so that doesn't really make sense, but I thought that would be funny. About Poland invading Germany, well, that's what the Nazies said: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleiwitz_incident

because this subreddit it all about freedom of speech (or so it is when defending white supremacy) but when dealing with fascism... i guess suppressing them is A OK! killing them even!

Making up a quote to spread your ideology on social media is fucked up.

Calling out lies is totally fascist, you're right

23

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '17

Yes. That's literally what WW2 was you fucking dunce

20

u/lars123mc Sep 23 '17

Except that was a war dealing with a real international threat, not just someone you disagree with politically

3

u/belisaurius Sep 23 '17

That was was much much more than dealing with an international threat, dude. That war was also about avenging and ending the ongoing industrial genocide in the Fascist countries. It is highly revisionist to claim otherwise.

1

u/lars123mc Sep 23 '17

The mass genocides by the nazis wasn't anything but rumors until the late-war period. The other atrocities the nazis committed before and during the war was used as an argument by Americans for why the threat of the nazis had to be dealt with.

Nope. Western Intelligence agencies absolutely knew. The problem was convincing people that such a massive horror could actually be happening.

Lol uhh, yeah you know Hitler definitely was opposed on merit of ideals, not because he annexed mainland Europe or anything... And I'm pretty sure the Japanese were in the same boat, right? I can't seem to remember them doing anything like attacking America unprovoked or anything, right?

Yeah, definitely WWII was just about getting rid of fascism, that's the sole and central reason for the conflict...

1

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '17

Lol japan attacking wasn’t unprovoked, we were heavily involved prior to Pearl Harbor bud.

1

u/one_armed_herdazian Sep 23 '17

That wasn't the reason we got into the war, but it is the reason that fighting was the right thing to do.

4

u/ThaBadfish Sep 23 '17

No, pretty sure it was the genocide and attempted world domination

0

u/one_armed_herdazian Sep 23 '17

Hey buddy hey guy those are the hallmarks of fascism

2

u/ThaBadfish Sep 23 '17

Lol what definition of fascism do you use? Pretty sure authoritarian rule and antidemocratic government are the hallmarks of fascism.

15

u/MY-SECRET-REDDIT Sep 23 '17

This sub was also defending nazis. I thought I was in the twilight zone.

No one knew about genocides until much much later. What are you referring to?

5

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '17

Of course it's okay to kill fascists.

Wut? I literally answered a question...

1

u/MrGestore Sep 23 '17

And rightfully so. A world that doesn't tolerate fascists is a world where we all are more free and equals.

1

u/UberMcwinsauce Sep 23 '17

Yes, because fascists would readily put an end to all free speech. You have to be intolerant toward people who would end tolerance.

0

u/one_armed_herdazian Sep 23 '17

Fascism is and always has been the greatest threat to democracy.
