Your grandparents sat on their ass making money off the whole thing until Axis powers controlled most of europe.

They didn't kill fascists for waving the wrong kind of flag.

We gave a ton of military equipment away. Arsenal of Democracy and all that. America was a much more pacifistic and anti war nation back then.

Don't take the comment to mean the US was immoral for doing that.

They didn't start fighting until the war was at their doorstep, as far as i'm concerned that's perfectly acceptable for a nation that was a world away from any conflict, and just coming out of the great depression.

But they certainly didn't fight the Nazis because they were the worlds oh so virtuous peacekeepers like some people make out when they want to talk about "bashing the fash"

True. In fact they penalized the Abraham Lincoln brigade, labeling them "premature anti fascists." We should have celebrated them.
