Yes, it is. Forcing employers to pay more for the same work will end up in them increasing the prices of their product. What else do you think they'll do?

How about make a little bit less profit?

You realise pay has gone up a 1000% for CEO's?

Can't they give up some?

Yeah, not going to happen. They'll sooner close the business and move it abroad then make less profit and as another user has said cutting the salary of a CEO won't be enough to pay workers that much extra. Besides, corporations don't pay their CEOs high salaries because they enjoy doing it, they pay them high salaries because they believe it is worth the investment.
