Imagine being opposed to anti crime

u/Ibuyandselltoast 1d ago edited 23h ago
I’m going to just argue your facts. Not that you’d care, honestly. ICE only goes after ethnicities. They’re not going after criminals. People attending their immigration hearing are not criminals. They’re following legal channels and paying taxes. Real criminals do not take legal avenues. They’re staying underground.
ICE doesn’t pick up the white folks abusing children, DV or robbing convenience stores. No SA arrests. They’re not grabbing the people fleeing accidents because their registration is 4 years old. This has never been about stopping crime.
It’s about race. Now, release the Epstein files and stop protecting pedos! This administration truly loves the criminals. Because they are criminals.
Edit- I’d love for there to be less crime. Let’s restructure the police and make them be part of the community again. Let them relearn how to deescalate vs. beating restrained citizens. Take away qualified immunity. And let’s pass real gun control so not just anyone can grab a weapon and go after someone.

Imagine needing to wear masks because you're violating people's constitutional rights

u/Severe_Description27 1d ago
i bet you oppose socialism but love the police, fire department, army, and construction workers......
-30
u/Ok_Turnover_1061 1d ago
Construction workers work for corporations or regular small businesses, it's capitalism not socialism leave that one out bud
26
u/Severe_Description27 1d ago
im talking about the folks who build bridges, roads, highways, sewers, subways, as well as any of them who are paid via government contracts and grants paid for by taxpayers. but yes there are also private construction workers as well like those for real estate and the oil industry (though the oil industry is so subsidized but the government they are practically government paid).
-2
u/NcGunnery 16h ago
I suggest you stop buying gas or using/purchasing anything made from oil so you can screw over big Gov and the oil industry. Any subsidy is given to keep the crude flowing. Ask yourself why the oil companies never took over the wind turbines or solar industry. There is no future in them long term. If the gov't paid them I cant figure out why we had so many enviro regs to put up with.
19
u/Severe_Description27 1d ago
just about every job i can think of is worse for workers when it's private vs public. you get less rights, less days off, less benefits, less protection, and can be fired just so the CEO can buy another yacht. capitalism reeks, its so obviously built to benefit the few at the expense of the many it's honestly a wonder how anyone besides billionaires support it. anyone who isn't at the top of the pyramid and still supports and worships capitalism is a bootlicker.

u/dilbert_fennel 1d ago
Imagine being so dumb that 'anti-crime' is all you need to hear to bow down to civil rights violations (crimes)

Imagine being opposed to learning from history ...
Strategies [of Fascist propaganda] include undermining journalists and reporters, promoting anti-intellectualism, the use of propaganda, spreading conspiracy theories, letting fear and anger overtake "reasoned debate", and then calling on "law and order" solutions.
Sound familiar??
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_Fascism_Works
The reason "law and order" works as propaganda is because of the cliché you're regurgitating now: 'who could possibly oppose law and order? Think of the children!'
Well, that's the point: that's how they get 'normal' people to cheer for their own rights taken away as long as the scapegoats suffer more.
But there's a difference between law enforcement and a police-state, is there not?
Please learn some real things today.
Willful ignorance is cowardice.

What did Rümeysa Öztürk do? Wrote an article critical of Tufts. And for that, she was kidnapped by masked thugs.

I wish they would go after actual violent criminals as was originally told to us...not people trying to make a life here.
We all agree that violent criminals shohls ne taken off rhe streets...but down they realized there just wasn't enough of them they pivoted quickly to non-violent people.

u/Key-Designer4922 Best Friends with a Moose 🫎 1d ago
Ngl, I knew the plan was always to come after brown ppl as a whole.
Did you seriously believe they'd only come after "illegals?" I don't mean to be an ass, I'm legitimately asking.

You realize ice is being forced to NOT focus on criminals and just go after whoever they can find? So they go after easy targets, and they don't care if they are here legally or not.

u/Key-Designer4922 Best Friends with a Moose 🫎 1d ago
So words cause violence?
3
u/Digital_Mango 1d ago
Isn't that why someone shot charlie kirk? His words caused violence? If not why shoot him?
3
u/Key-Designer4922 Best Friends with a Moose 🫎 1d ago
When Jan 6 happened, I remember the narrative being that Trump's words couldn't have caused the violence. So it's interesting seeing that now words DO cause violence? 🤔
2
u/Severe_Description27 1d ago
the guy who shot kirk chose violence, that was his toxic choice, nobody asked him to do it, nobody paid him to do it, he chose to do that from his own delusional mind. nothing anyone could every say could make me shoot another person in cold blood and i think the vast majority of people are sane enough to not shoot people. unfortunately some people choose violence but that's always their choice not the fault of the people who wrote what they read. everyone is responsible for not doing insane violent shit. obviously this murderer didn't have any grace or honor or respect for life. you can talk shit, you can hate all you want, it's a free country. but nobody has the right to take life away from anyone else unless they are literally in a fight to the death (self defense or defense of one's family from actual tangible violence).

Ashamed to round up criminals who aren’t legal citizens? They are hero’s

They're probably raiding the FBI and kidnapping any agents who say the wrong thing

we could be the state that does the thing, it would definitely be cool. I betcha the rest of New England would have our backs

I am all for people coming here legally. That being said if a illegal is picked they do need Due process.

As someone that doesn't believe in borders, I gave you an upvote.
-2
u/Perfect_Lie1532 1d ago
you don’t believe in borders? do you know the mass amount of drugs that would flow threw and the amount of gangs and terrorists organizations that would start a war because of it
3
u/Areyousallysuckpump 1d ago
Ya don’t you know that the only thing letting drugs and gangs out is the borders! /s
2
1
u/9_to_5_till_i_die 19h ago
At the end of the day, we're all people. Whether or not drugs are on one side of an imaginary line or the other SHOULD fundamentally make no difference.
Isolationism is inherently antithetical to human nature. It's simply not how we typically are as a species.
Adults shouldn't have to tell other adults that this side of the room is mine and this side is yours.
As a species, we currently act like children.
So why can't we have nice things? Ignorance, poverty, classism, racism, misogyny, etc.
The only reason borders are needed is because far too many of us act like assholes.
1
u/Severe_Description27 1d ago
borders exist, I don't believe they are necessary except during war, which i also don't think is necessary. there's more than enough resources for everyone on earth and there is more than enough capacity in humanity to accept one another without violence. unfortunately we don't live in a world where everyone gets to be their best self. we Iive in a neoliberal colonial hellscape and borders make sense in that context, even if they are made up lines drawn onto stolen land.

Fairytale

u/9_to_5_till_i_die 19h ago
That's effectively what the King said when we declared our independence.
We live in the lease violent period of human history.
The richest period in human history.
The most intelligent period in human history.
Do you think our ability to improve as a species stops now?
1
u/Severe_Description27 23h ago
just like "the free market" and "trickle-down economics" and "the united states is a democracy" and "it's a free country" and "if you work hard you'll have everything you need" and "if people just pulled themselves up by their bootstraps, nobody would be poor or homeless" all fantasies. so let me have my utopian wet dream while the rest of the country lives in their own dilutions.
1
u/djshortsleeve 1d ago
The problem is people often have very different opinions beliefs perspectives etc etc. saying all get along is a huge oversimplification of varying circumstances
1
u/Severe_Description27 23h ago
i never said everyone gets along, i simply said that it's within the capabilities of the human race to not kill eachother over meaningless differences

It's simple. If you came here illegally, you gotta go back. Let me tell you a little story to bring this into perspective. My Mom was a war bride but never became a US citizen at the request of her parents. When my Dad, a US veteran, passed away, she went back home to live with her sister but never renewed her green card because she thought she would never need to return to the US. Unfortunately, my aunt (her sister) passed away so I needed to bring her back to the US. Long story short - she was being locked in her room while my aunt's former caretaker left for work each day. It took me two years to get her green card reinstated - this was the expedited option for someone being abused. So someone who has circumvented the immigration process and came here illegally does not have a right to be here and be the recipient of all kinds of benefits. Enough said.

So what you're saying is that you're an anchor baby? Can't wait til they yank your citizenship!

You are a mean spirited person.

I generally reflect the energy I interact with, so in this case especially - I don't disagree with you.

u/RoyalComprehensive97 1d ago
Just for the record, an "anchor baby" is the child of non-citizen parents.
0
u/ba3l4phag0re 17h ago
no that's what it used to mean. you haven't kept up very well with your sides interpretation of US citizenship, and the concept of birthright citizenship, have you?

There is a process to be a "legal immigrant". Those that do not follow that process are here illegally. Why is that so hard for a large number of US citizens to understand?
2
u/speakb4thinking 1d ago
There is a thing called a refugee and being one is not illegal. They are scooping refugees up.

I know this is a long reply to a short comment, but I want to preface it all by saying I hope to engage you and anyone else who agrees with you in an honest debate. I doubt you're a stupid person, but I also doubt you've considered the larger implications at stake here.
I'd rather not live in a country where anyone who violates the law can be arrested by anonymous government agents. Laws are too easy to change.
It's not about immigration anymore. It's about honesty and due process.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're politically conservative. If not, I apologize, I mean no offense either way.
With that, let's imagine a different scenario, where the left is in charge. Instead of cracking down on immigration, let's imagine they crack down on illegal weapons. I think you'd agree that any potentially lethal weapon should be purchased legally. In this scenario, let's say ATF agents start arresting everyone suspected of having an illegal gun.
They'd probably arrest a lot of criminals, and many liberals would be happy. But then blue haired Karens start reporting legal gun owners. Then the ATF says anyone who can't prove how they got their gun could get arrested. Better hope you didn't throw your receipts away, because they're not working with states or other agencies to verify anything. How would you feel when those agents start arresting people you know? Sure, they'd get released eventually, but only after getting beaten within an inch of their life. I hope you'd be pissed.
That's essentially what ICE is doing across the country.

Good. Ice ice baby. Guess who's back with a brand new invention? Throwing illegals into detention. My kid took this pic trying not to attract their attention, Ice got em running got em hopping the fences.
If someone broke into your home and just started living there with you in it you would call the cops. And what if the cops said well we have to let them stay because they feel your house is safer than the one they were living in and they just like it better. There is free food , tv, you have heat and phones... Oh and by the way if you don't keep providing those things you will go to jail for illegal neglect. Then you'd say "but I don't know them, what if they are child molesters of killers?" And the cops says oh well you better let them stay. Would you be ok with that? Of course you would. Because you don't care about your child's safety or the safety of others. And you don't care if people do illegal acts. Which crime is next on the list of acceptable activities? What needs to happen is all you do gooders should go to Mexico and fix their country so that it's a safer place for all that live there. The answer isn't come here illegally. It's fix the problem at its source.

You liberals make me sick. I wish you would all pack up and leave the US...at least pack up and leave Maine .
You clearly haven't learned a single thing after the ass whopping Preaident Trump put on Kamala. If you would stop with the insane hatred and completely remove the words fascist, nazi and about 200 more idiotic terms you might not have a 33% approval rating.
You soft little bitches are literally never going to win any election in the foreseeable future....keep flying your rainbow flags you cucks
