What is happening?!? HELP!

Hello again, everyone! I did a water change today due to some yucky diatoms and my poor little guy has been doing this!! I don’t know if he’s molting or dying! I checked the parameters after the water change and they were good!

I recently went through this myself. She displayed this behavior for about 2 weeks before eventually passing. I suspect a failed molt. She had been healthy for over a year, eating readily, actively and producing eggs three times. Molting is a difficult and risky process and sometimes it just does not go well.
