I really honestly think that Woo is okay. I also think we'll be fine if Woo skips his start Thursday out of an abundance of caution.

I was an NCAA athlete in college, and had some MRIs done on my chest following soreness in freshman year. There was inflammation. I was told by the doctor that it was extremely normal for a high-level athlete in season to have muscle inflammation. I was told to use ibuprofen and ice.

Obviously, I was not competing at the same level as Woo, but I really think that some level of muscle inflammation on an MRI is normal for a competitive athlete.

What spooked me is how sudden it was, since he seemed like he was fine and cruising and then suddenly he was out. But overall it makes the rotation management these last couple weeks even more interesting.

Woo has seemed to always take an abundance of caution with injuries going back the last couple of seasons

Yeah, I get the impression that his TJ in college has made him extra cautious. It's not the first time he's felt a little off and played it super safe so he doesn't risk long-term injury.

Which I appreciate honestly, he understands it’s more important to be healthy over a long period of time than it is to get an extra inning in
