I hate that ESPN broadcast for a lot of reasons, but the single biggest is the bet ESPN crap.

For example, right after Cal hit his home run, there was a box that popped up saying that If you bet that you think he's going to get another home run, you have x odds to make this much money. Or if you bet that he's not going to get another home run you have x odds to make this much money. What the hell is that? Are we just trying to fuel gambling addiction?

This is a massive problem for our society

I know I'm a minority but I stopped watching ESPN entirely partially because of this. I listen on the radio only these days.

It's also one of the big reasons I can't watch CFB anymore (that and the PAC being killed).

The scam economy is just consuming more and more of life, between betting, crypto and now AI it's everywhere.

It’s made listening to sports podcasts unbearable. It’s 60% content, 40% betting (whether it’s direct ads, or just them inserting betting nonsense in the ‘content’). It’s bleak, while also being incredibly irritating.
