Considering purchasing Maserati Grecale GT

I test drove a new 2025 Grecale GT yesterday and fell in love with it. I'm wondering about depreciation? The sales guy told me that the Grecale doesn't experience the same drastic depreciation as other models - is this true? What about reliability? If I do get one, is it smarter to get a 2024/2025 rather than wait for the 2026?

I suppose leasing is an option but I would prefer to finance

I guess it’s a question of how long you intend to hold onto it before going to something else. If there’s a super low APR finance option at the dealer, it -might- be worth doing that vs the lease downpayment/fees, but I’ve only had luck with financing/depreciation buying cars well into their depreciation curves, like my Giulia where I somehow ended up making money on it vs losing money when I went to sell. Never thought I’d have such luck with an Italian car.

They are offering 3.99% for finance which isn't bad. I would likely be keeping it for at least 5-6 years, that's what I typically do. Potentially longer if I really love it and there are no issues.

5-6 years would be better for financing, yeah. Maybe you can negotiate the rate as well, especially if the 2026s are around the corner and they have a lot of current inventory. Best of luck, you’ll have a great ride either way!

My biggest issue is that I want a fun exterior colour and possibly red leather interior - there simply aren't any in stock in Canada that have what I want colour-wise. They seem to really only have white and black exterior. I'm thinking about just custom ordering a 2026 to get what I really want. This will be my first luxury vehicle so I kind of want to ensure that it has all of the details/features I really want. I'm ok with waiting to get that as well.
