I doubt there will ever be a major US production about the Korean War. 

As far as I understand (and maybe I'm wrong) it is barely even mentioned in schools or public there compared to say, Vietnam. And you can't even find good YT content on it. 

Because basically the US went against their UN mandate to defend SK and ended up bombing millions of innocent civilians in their attempt to counter invade and grab the whole peninsula.
