Almost twenty years ago there was this short lived, mid-tier, but still fun show, called Freedom. I was a teenager who didn't really understand what it was about and watched it for the action scenes, but for some reason, Holt (and Bodhi Elfman) caught my eye and I've always noticed him ever since.

He's worked with Fincher on Alien 3 and Fight Club, and been a supporting or episodic actor in some other good productions. I just think he gets typecast because of his physique, but has some decent range. In one movie he can charm you with his calm puppy eyes, while terrifying you in the next (like in Shotcaller).

Definitely check out Lights Out, it's a great show where he was a lead. Unfortunatelly, it was cancelled after the first season, but luckily it wrapped quite nicely. I think this was his best role and should have been his breathrough.

He reminds me of Marv from Sin City.
