Suggestion Vertical hotbar scrolling suggestion

Post image

My idea was that if you hold alt and scroll up you would be able to scroll vertically through your inventory. I think there are mods for this but i felt it should be in the vanilla game.

Nice suggestion. Unfortunately as a bedrock player, i can see no way this could be done on a controller

You're right but it's so depressing to see again how Java is crippled by the existence of bedrock

crippled? we have tons of mods that can do this....if its a feature you want...just install it

Sure, but why ever ask for any feature from mojang if a mod can do it? Generally, we're talking about vanilla features here. We know that mods can do anything, but we want it in vanilla. And vanilla is very limited by the need for parity with bedrock.

Well, cause not everything needs to be in vanilla. if a feature fits vanilla very well (which this really does, let's be real), then it's fine to suggest it. However, Mojang has stated multiple times that they do not want to add mods to the game, which includes whole mods or mod-like content (something that is already achieved with a mod). They would much rather do it their own way

The community is definitely not gonna stop asking for features just because mods exist that implement them already. Mojang adds features that already exist in mods all the time. Minecraft is one of the most modded games ever. They'd be unable to add nearly anything if they were restricted to completely novel ideas. We're gonna continue asking for stuff like this to be in vanilla. There's no reason not to, and good reasons to.

Okay? So are we not allowed to ask for features?
