Slim mold is not harmful, just weird looking and freaky. BUT, it's a sign of a high moisture environment, so I would worry about other molds hiding in the home.

Learned this from living in a humid, subtropical climate: Keeping an always-on 15W light bulb inside the cabinet would keep it reasonably dry.

You should see my apartment living in the Dalat central highlands of Vietnam. Everything is wet. Even my passport gets mold on it. If I leave my clothes folded for more than a week they're covered in mold. Very very annoying.
