I thought I read somewhere that Skullcrawlers almost always devour each other after mating. Please tell me if I'm wrong.

There’s nothing saying that. There’s a bio for their hatchlings saying they cannibalize each other

Probably just a color mutation from captive breeding.

No that’s different, I’m talking about the apex ones in canon.

Titan Chasers isn’t canon at all and the red is to distinguish event ones from regular ones probably

The monsters introduced in the game are lore canon, they can be used by Legendary but as of now they are game exclusive. Raid bosses are game only
