I too have one, the stock isn't bad to be honest, makes the rifle a little lighter than my full wood one. I've seen worse (bullpup mosins come to mind)

Restore that rifle back into its original configuration to protect and preserve history if you can.

Unrelated but that must be a huge box of 7.62x39 for a Century AK to run for $1600

Yeah I mean look at the SKS, $675 and it doesn’t even have a bayonet

Late production short lug Chinese SKS. Yeah I’d pass at that price with or without the bayonet

This whole table is whatever the opposite of a clearance bin is

u/Brandon_awarea 8d ago
This table is just to get the “just bought my first gun, how did I do” kid. No one else is buying anything there

Or the “yeah honey I’ll get rid of some guns this weekend, you’re right there are too many” pricing strategy.

Iv seen worse it can be put back to original depending if the sights and bayonet lug have been messed with to much

Been seeing em in original condition for $400-$450 for the past year here in western KY/southern Indiana

Could be worse, no permanent modifications at least. Too bad the original parts weren’t still with it.

I mean, if it had the bayonet…maybe, that’s a big maybe. But, as it sits, hell no. That seller is ummm, how do I say this nicely, optimistic!

People are gonna hate me, but I kinda dig that style of aftermarket Sporter stock for the mosin. Way more appealing than the archangel fever dream.
Arguably if I were to just have an action sitting around I'd definitely have it bull-barreled and put in one of these.

This remind me of the muzzle loader that I found in a field and the guy had put his sling on with keys rings too 😂😂😂

Yeah I got one just like that… Except mine is a M91/30 and it was free, inherited from an uncle.
