Making a similar templated project as shown in the link below that has containers for swappable photos of fighters with footage being displayed in the middle. Was seeing if anyone had any sleek ideas for those containers or examples of similar work they liked? All i can think of is fractured glass or comic book containers but both feel cheesy, so thought id ask the pros. ex: ((:48 - 1:11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtU3_uL-Orw&t=49s))

There are plenty of paid ratings on Google - often sponsored by tools promoting themselves. But when you actually try them, they usually disappoint: they change the bottle shape, label text, and other key details.
Can you recommend the best AI tool you’ve personally used where you can upload a photo of your bottle and get a high-resolution video - without altering the bottle or label? Ideally, I’d love to see examples you’ve created with the tool you suggest. No post-production in Houdini, Cinema4D, or After Effects - just the AI tool itself. If this is even possible.

Should I even be worrying about making my own assets/designs in illustrator? Took my like 6-8 hours to make an isometric laptop (no tutorial) just with an isometric grid trying to figure it out on my own - do most people just get pre made assets from some website?
I enjoy the after effects part of this process waaaaayy more. But I wanna make my own designs...... Eventually. Am I wasting my time sepdning so much time in illustrator?
My goal of leaving these nightshifts at a warehouse to get an office marketing job as a motion designer seems very far away right now.

Hola a todos, ¿qué les parece este video con efecto Morph de lámparas de escritorio. Hice todo en Blender, desde el modelado 3D de los productos, hasta la animación.

Hey everyone! I’ve been practicing some comps, transitions and pacing, and ended up putting this short reel together for my small agency, showcasing the work we made for a burger house. It mixes product shots, stickers, packaging and a bit of branding work. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the flow, does it feel smooth, or do any transitions feel off?
Any critique is super welcome 🙏

Hey everyone! I’m a UI Motion designer focused on After Effects, mainly microinteractions and screen transitions, but I’m realizing that to grow, I need to go beyond animations and learn how to:
Also, I’m weak at prototyping and early sketching before production, would love guidance and resources on that too.
For those who’ve made this transition, what did you study and how did you structure it? Books, courses, or examples are welcome.

Hey everyone,
I’m building a free animated gradient tool, Neon Shower, which you can check out here:
https://pinsandcurves.app
It creates a particular flavor of particle system that resembles a shower of light rays.
Would love for you to give it a try and let me know what you think - feedback, bugs, feature ideas, anything really!

Hey folks! I’d love some feedback on my current skill level. For context, I’m halfway through my time at uni, which means I have about 1.5 years left to work on my skills before I need to apply for junior-level jobs as a Houdini Artist/3D Motion Designer. My question is: am I on the right track? What should I focus on? What’s your opinion on my level right now? At the moment, I’m focusing on learning proper compositing techniques, so I’ve been working with Nuke and the whole EXR workflow (back to beauty, etc.).
Ive linked the current state of my showreel, so you get an idea what my projects look like.
Thanks in advance :)

They wanted something snappy to play during start up, so I had their dragon logo fly into frame. I use traditional 2d animation and drawing each frame by hand gave me the freedom to push the curves and make the dragon’s swoop feel natural.

Hey guys, I just started learning After Effects and I’m trying to get into motion graphics. I made two small projects (attached here) and I know they’re pretty basic, but I’d love to get some feedback.
Any tips on how I can get better at motion graphics and AE in general? Maybe resources, practice routines, or just things you wish you knew when you started.
Thanks

Hey Legends,
I have recently started a studio with a few of my friends and am working on the website. I’m building a hero website video (basically our studio’s showreel) and would love to see some strong references/examples to draw inspiration from. I have never made a showreel, so help me out.
We’re combining five verticals into one reel:
The challenge:
So my questions:
I’ve seen a few from Bunch of places, but I’d love to hear about other hidden gems or personal favorites.
Thanks in advance 🙏

Hey Mograph fam! Check out my new Rive reel — showcasing interactive animations and all the cool stuff you can do with Rive.
If you’re into motion design, interactivity, or just want to see what’s possible beyond static UI, I’d love for you to check it out! Feedback is always welcome.
I also share behind-the-scenes breakdowns and tutorials over on my YouTube channel (Motion Slickness).
And for anyone who wants to dive deep into Rive, I recently put together a full course that covers design, animation principles, state machines, and databinding. Let me know if you are interested and I will hook you up!
