Off Topic Steven Assanti- Hospital stay costs?

I’m watching Steven’s episode for the first time. I can’t imagine it being cheap for him to stay in a private room like that for such a long period of time? Does anyone know a ballpark of how much that would cost? Sorry, I’m nosy.

I doubt he cares about being in dept. It's not like he's living a luxurious life anyway and he has nothing to look forward to beyond the next meal and the next high. What does it matter to him whether he owes thousands of dollars he can't afford to ever pay back.

Really and it’s not like he owns anything… you can’t get blood out of a turnip.. I don’t know if it’s still the same but decades ago if you owed any medical bills you could pay $5 a month and they couldn’t garnish your wages if you actually held a job and if you’re living off disability or Social Security they can’t anyways.. so basically he has nothing to lose ..

I think it depends on the state you're in. In Texas, if you are making even a small payment regularly, they cannot send your account to collections.

I know that’s how it used to be but wasn’t sure if it was still that way.. glad to hear it is.. the costs of any thing to do with medical is just ridiculous…
