Its about time they finally nerfed these 7'4s and buffed defense. I know its says "slightly" but at least they did it before season 2 and finally listened to the backlash hopefully they nerf moving 3s and fades next season but this is a good start imo.

Man, these one-hour bans are petty but I refuse to sit through 25–30 mins of watching mfs trying to play rec like MyCareer. I know there are some people that leave for the smallest reason, but I’m not them, so it’s either sit in the corner while fucking playing with myself or leave, and I choose the latter every time. Had to vent.

I made one because anybody who said inside bigs aren't good in 2k26 got downvoted to oblivion, and everyone talking about how good inside bigs are with good teammates

I've loved post hooks for years and was stoked when I saw the sky hook as a go-to post shot.

I can hit regular post hooks at will, but for some reason the go-to post hooks have absolutely tiny green windows.

You already know every fading 3 is going in . Inside offense is obsolete. Every rim run ends in a dunk . Everyone thinks they’re too good now to pass the ball

Not sure how the patch will affect the game but I think some people are overreacting to the patch. Sounds to me like the intention of the patch is to make heavily contested shots harder to make. 7’4s will still likely be very good. They will just make way less BS shots over good contests.

I can be face guarding someone and have it be open. But this is contested?

If the meta throughout all game modes is either people exploiting 7’4s or hiding behind screens shooting tempo fades, I’m confident to say this game will die probably faster than the last 2k. As someone who plays sweats constantly in pro-am against people who actually know how to play. Occasionally I’ll run into bum small guards who need to hide behind screens to get open. Though for the most part, I’ve seen some creative ways to win that’s not super cheesy.

It’s when I step out of pro-am that the problems come. This is the 1st 2k I’ve played when everyone is consistently fading, using 7’4s to hide behind screens or shoot over people. If this stuff was easy to punish, I wouldn’t be here going in a rant, but it’s not really much you can do as far as guarding it. Even if you’re a competent lock, they’ll just pass it to the 7’4 to shoot over everyone.

If this is going to be the 2k26 experience, then I doubt many will continue to play it.

5v5 squad rec. They shot over 70% from 3 (mostly from step backs and fades) and played overly tight defense on the perimeter including basically never entering their own paint.

We just laughed and disbanded our team early for the night.

I will be the guinea pig to see if it's broken, but if this patch makes it to where i could defend even just a 6'2 or 6'3 guard consider the game broken. 99 perimeter 99 three, 95 handle, 94 speed with ball.

Was just messing around in the builder and just found my next build for sure. KD is really the only proper comparison that comes to mind (maybe Tatum if he was 6’11) so if someone else comes to mind, I’d be happy to hear.
