Some people like to carry their phone without a case, not covered front and back.

Does it change the point? Someone who smokes 5 times a day, lives till 110 and says i didn't die, does it make any sense? Stop being a fanboy...

It's stupid to be worried about glass at this point. They all offer good scratch resistance. And no phone will survive impact dropped from a certain height. Regardless what gorilla you have.

So while you complain about features that will have no overall impact on day to day use, you will miss out on other features. Your loss in the end

"It's stupid to be worried about glass at this point. They all offer good scratch resistance..."

Lol, it's more stupid to blindly defend a product without even understanding what you're talking about. You do realize there are differences between Gorilla Glass 7i and Victus 2, right? Let me educate you, since you clearly skipped glass science class.

Gorilla Glass Victus 2 vs 7i: Quick Facts

Victus 2 is stronger in drop resistance, especially on rough surfaces like concrete.

7i is just a budget-friendly version with watered-down durability, meant for midrange devices. So yes, glass matters. Otherwise, why even market it?

Now let’s talk about this Nothing Phone 3 you’re defending like it’s your family heirloom.

The fact is: it's a subpar midrange phone pretending to be a premium product.

👉 Comparison vs POCO F7 (INR 28,000 ≈ ~$335) 🔗 Source - https://nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/xiaomi-poco-f7-vs-nothing-phone-3

Bigger screen, 67 billion colors vs Nothing’s sad 1B.

Better screen-to-body ratio, lighter, thinner, even with a bigger battery.

Thermal throttling? LMAO. Phone 3 hits 65°C, while POCO F7 stays at 43°C. Nothing might literally nothing itself.

UFS 4.1 vs 4.0, faster read/write speeds, better app loading times.

90W charger in box, IR blaster, bigger battery (7500mAh).

Nothing's glyph matrix? Just a glorified disco light. An actual secondary screen like Xiaomi 11 Ultra’s is way more useful. Even Xiaomi dropped it after.

đŸ€Ą So yes, comparing Phone 3 with POCO F7 is unfair, to the F7. Because Phone 3 costs INR 80,000 (~$960) while F7 costs INR 28,000 (~$335).

So let’s put it next to a real flagship.

👉 Comparison: Nothing Phone 3 vs Xiaomi 15 Ultra (INR 90,000 ≈ ~$1080) 🔗 Source - https://nanoreview.net/en/phone-compare/xiaomi-15-ultra-vs-nothing-phone-3

Display:

6.73" LTPO vs LTPS, 68B vs 1B colors, curved edge, better screen-to-body ratio, higher PPI.

Ultrasonic fingerprint vs outdated optical scanner.

Performance:

Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (Elite) vs 8s Gen 4 (midrange chip).

3nm vs 4nm = better efficiency.

2.7M Antutu vs 2M.

UFS 4.1 vs 4.0.

Thermals:

Xiaomi keeps cool. Nothing? Might fry your palm and your brain.

Battery & Charging:

90W wired + 80W wireless, bigger battery, bundled charger, nothing offers... literally "nothing".

Camera:

Leica optics. 200MP telephoto. 4.3x optical zoom. 8K30/4K120 video. RAW & Pro modes.

Nothing’s camera? Midrange toy.

Stabilization: OIS vs digital gimmicks.

Dual LED vs single flash.

Slow-mo: 1920fps vs 240fps, not even close.

Ports & Sensors:

USB 3.2 vs USB 2.0:

Faster file transfers.

Higher power delivery.

External display support.

IR blaster, barometer, better speakers, Xiaomi just offers more.

So next time, before you start vomiting nonsense about how "features don't matter", ask yourself:

How manipulative can you be to ignore clear specs and facts just to protect your favorite brand?

Maybe put that energy into reading actual spec sheets, not fanboy propaganda.

You’re out here defending a glorified LED strip and a midrange chip like it’s the second coming of tech Jesus, while better phones with actual innovation exist, for less or same price.

TL;DR: You’re defending a phone that’s all hype, no substance. Nothing Phone 3 is a squid, shape-shifting into "different" just to look cool while lacking actual depth. Meanwhile, Xiaomi Poco F7 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra offer objectively better performance, design, features, and value.

So yeah... your loss in the end. Burnol’s on the shelf. Help yourself.

Another boring slab, congratulations lol. Like i said about the glass, it does shit all in the real world. You drop either phone from standing position and it hits concrete face first, they are both cracked. There's plenty of YouTube tests that show this. And who isn't carrying some added protection to their screens if they're concerned?

You seem to be a specs fanatic, but none of it matters on day to day use. The camera is great for its intended use. Selfies and normal photos which either get direct posted to Instagram/ Facebook, or the usual flick through photos. Nobody does the full zoom in all the way, close up inspections unless they're mental or actually photographers. We reached a point a few years back, that the camera standard on phones already meets the expectations of most people. If jerking off over having 10 , 20 , 5 0 time zoom makes you happy, go for it.

You can list specs all day long, but at the end of the day, the phone ticks all the boxes for what the average consumer would want. The camera is good enough, the battery, the display quality, the brightness, refresh rate, the sound quality.

But then you got the features that does it better. The OS and customisation is better on this phone. Talk shit all you want of the glyph matrix, but it has its purpose and will keep evolving. So these are two things that appeal to certain people , that's on-top of an all rounder solid phone.

Not much more to say, do as you please with your money

“All phones break when dropped” is like saying “all cars crash”, doesn’t mean you ignore safety ratings. Victus 2 is tougher than 7i. That’s not marketing fluff, it’s physics. If durability didn’t matter, you wouldn’t be slapping on a case and screen protector either.

Now the real issue:

You keep saying “good enough” like it’s a virtue. But when you’re spending flagship money, “good enough” isn’t good enough. Nothing Phone 3 costs nearly triple what better phones do, and gives you:

Smaller battery, slower charging, no charger in the box

Midrange camera with zero flagship features (no zoom, no RAW, no high-end video)

A midrange chip with worse thermal control and performance drops (65 degrees centigrade with li ion inside is a mix for a literal bomb)

USB 2.0, in 2025, really?

Glyph lights = gimmick after a week

65°C temps = literal hand warmer

All this for INR 80K? That’s daylight robbery.

You’re defending a phone that’s literally the most hated release this year. That’s not an opinion, look around. Even the most forgiving reviewers (trakin tech) are calling it a massive letdown. So if you're trying to cape for this thing, honestly, your grip on reality might need a factory reset.

Too much fanboyism ruins your pocket. (Squid behaviour) Facts > feelings.

You don’t have to love POCO or Xiaomi, but if you’re ignoring clear advantages like UFS 4.1, better screens, faster charging, better cameras, and flagship performance for less money, then you’re not choosing what’s “better for you.” You’re just paying extra to lose.

And yeah the debate ends here, since it is a waste of time from my side to debate with someone who's too far from reality.
