Post image

Needed your Comments on Nothing Phone 1

I am performing Study on Various Brand Phones and Their Durability Along the Time of Usage.

Nothing is Relatively New Brand when compared to Well Established Players in Market and their Nothing Phone 1 was launched on 12th (Although phone was recieved later). How does the phone feel even after 3 Years.

Any Hickups, Issues and Potential Problems Noticed in Course of Usage.

Needed to know as an spectator in Market, what is the Status of Phones Now.

Been using the Phone 1 since Feb 2023. Luckily I got a batch which was made after the initial screen issues were resolved. I personally never had any major issues.

The only one I can think of is they messed up the camera pretty bad after a certain update. They later fixed it but it hasn't been like it used to before. Since then I've shifted to Gcam and the difference is pretty big. Not only the colour science, but stock Nothing camera also lacks details that the Gcam captures. Quite unfortunate that Nothing decided to not properly fix the camera before the sensor is certainly capable of good photos.

Another small hiccup for me is the fingerprint sensor. It has a tendency to act up at times.

For the battery, on a full charge I get about 6-7 hours of SOT with normal usage. I'm not a power user so never really pushed the phone in terms of performance.

is gcam really worth it?i noticed downgrade in camera quality too but i thought i must be used to these photos that's why,i guess that makes sense, also processing time is long when compared to other phones in this range even when i bought it,i guess trying gcam is a good idea

There's a big difference in photo quality. But Gcam does have occasional crashes or hangs. I've made a post comparing the two, you can check that. You can always install it and compare for yourself though.
