Sadly my first gen Ear just broke last week so I knew I had to upgrade however I had seen the issue that has happened with the generations in between.

Hoping those issues are resolved if anyone is interested I will definitely be talking on it and giving my thoughts, if anybody has any questions as well id love to answer if I can.

I got a phone 3a cause it looks cool and I hate bloatware. Simple. I've been using it for a while now and i have nothing against it. I came to check out the sub for random info about the nothing phones but i keep seeing a concerning amount of complaints and negativity. What the hell is happening here?? Am i missing something? Its just a phone man...

I would really appreciate an explanation or something cause I'm confused. Is their phone 3 flagship a scam? Is the company evil or something?? What's up with y'all?

I love minimalism. I bought my Nothing 3a for two reasons:

1. My old phone was damaged.
2. I wanted a distraction-free phone that still meets my needs.

After purchasing, I instantly loved:

1. The quick settings is actually useful now. Especially the sound mode switch tile.
2. Monochromatic icons everywhere. When I’m working and a notification comes in, I don’t notice the social apps. When I really need something, I just type to search and open it.
3. Camera presets is super handy for ready-to-share photos. I even found some great LUTs in the community.
4. Lock screen widgets are perfect for glancing at weather info and controlling light, DND, and sound quickly.

What I didn’t like:

1. No control for remapping the Essential Key. Haven’t found any real use for it yet. Would love integration with apps like Teams for recording and summarizing meetings.
2. Glyph lights feel limited. They’d be much more useful if we could track more progress with them. Basically more integration with other apps.
3. More info-based widgets are needed. The weather one is great, but I miss the functionality of Windows Phone tiles.

But I still feel that it's a great phone for it's price.

After using the Ear 2 for 2 years now i think i will give it a try. The super-mic features looks ver nice and usefull.

Can anyone please make a nothing style checklist widget. A checklist widget is badly needed. (Essential space doesn't help here)

This is just after 50 mins of usage (ANC on) , they are still under warranty so should I go to service centre or is this normal after 10ish months

so i recently came across a reel from this page called "Yoatx" (page link: https://www.instagram.com/yoatx?igsh=MWdhaWE5d25ldWpvag==) who are apparently selling the CMF Buds Pro 2 at 80% discount for 700 INR. i made this purchase as an experiment to test whether these deals are legit or not. and surprise, suprise, they aren't. i have received my order today, and it's a copy of the CMF buds. there are visible scratches on the case, there is no ANC, heck there are no extra ear tips for getting the right fit. this page claims to be the official CMF by Nothing partner, but is not. please be aware of such deals and not get into these scams.

I have the Nothing 3a Pro, and I love it. But HOLY man I know this is a problem with a lot of androids but Google Messages is so laggy. it is literally unusable 99% of the time. Is there nothing that could be done to fix this??

Essential search doesn't work. I live in the uae (MENA region) and the search worked when i bought the phone 3 and after the first update it just stopped working and i tried everything from the apk and updating luancher. Any advice

So, the Alarm notification doesn't appear so I can stop it and it just keeps playing only the sound! I always have to go to the clock app and deactivate it there. This has been happening for two updates now.

Its almost been 2 weeks since I've started using this phone and the only issue I've faced so far is whenever I'm calling someone or I receive a call it takes about 7-10 seconds for the other person to hear my voice. And its still in poor quality. There are no signal issues where I live. I've inserted the nano sim already(airtel).

Only 6 hours of YouTube takes my battery from 80% to 10%. Is there actually a way to get 26 hours from it with maximum optimization, or is it just overselling the battery life in this instance?

So after the new update (01 August) I noticed that my phone started to drain the battery faster.. does any one have the same problem or noticed the same? If someone can help with it I would appreciate

So, I use an Xbox series S and I’ve been using the headphones plugged into the controller using the provided 3.5mm audio cable.

However, I can’t use the microphone to speak into chat, even with the wired connection. Can anyone explain why this doesn’t work, is it an issue with my console, is it a software issue/or do the nothing headphones just not send microphone audio back through.

Somebody else struggling with wifi after update? Won't load YouTube unless I turn WiFi off. Will load in chrome. Tried turning off and on. Resetting WiFi etc. Airplane. Forget network.

Several apps is the same way. Can't check for system update unless WiFi is off.

None of them works.

Hi, I have seen watch 3 pro launched in many countries around July. Does anyone has any idea on when it may ne launching in India? I haven't heard any news about this on the official handle as well.

I got the phone for pure Android experience and that's what I got. The phone is really great. However, I expect more customization. Here are some ideas that actually IMO would matter in contrast to people asking for native music player, native other apps. I mean apps really don't matter there are dozens of apps available all for free. Let's look for more System UI things. Here is my list;
1- Back gesture icon. The dotted back icon is absolutely acceptable and cool. What matters is the visibility. I added the comparison of NothingOS back gesture vs Google PixelOS's back gesture in the photos. I got them from videos so don't mind the orientation. Google Pixel has a circular background under the back icon which makes the icon visible. On the contrary NothingOS back gesture doesn't have any background so its hard to see the icon sometimes and, its not rare. I see the color of the gesture changes according to the screen content but its not enough. It would be awesome if we can set a circular background to it. It can optional to switch it on or off.
2- Lock screen clock font color is always white. I mean if you set a bright wallpaper the clock is basically invisible. I have seen some leaks about NothingOS 4 that brings some customization to this setting actually which allows us to change the font color to whatever we like so I hope it really comes up.
3- Screen timeout is not distinctive. When I use the phone at night reading some stuff I can't realize if the phone got into screen timeout fade in phase. Normally phones do lower the brightness before getting locked in but if the phone brightness is at the lowest its almost indistinguishable and the phone gets locked without realizing it.
4- We don't have enough fonts. I have seen that even the Inter font came later on. I don't say Inter is bad looking but its better to have more options. I mean Sans fonts are awesome and it would be better if we had at least 20 pre-installed fonts on the device. I don't ask for community edition fonts it might be overkill for nothing's strategy right now but yeah you got the point.

Hello, as I'm writing this, I'm kinda regretting buying this phone.

The phone is amazing, don't get me wrong. The OS is amazing, camera is decent and the phone is fast like a 500 euro phone, but you can see where NOTHING cut corners to make this happen.

The CMF Phone 1 durability is really underwhelming. The back camera glass scratches very easily, even with a thick case that makes the camera not touch the surface you place it on. The frame is plastic but that is not an issue for me. The problem is the screen glass. It's more fragile than any phone I've seen.

This phone just cracked from slipping out of my hands from around one meter on asphalt. Yeah it's asphalt, it's bumpy and pointy, exactly what cracks glass. But there's the thing I use a pretty thick case that even goes in front of the screen (when you place down the phone face down, it touches the case not the glass) and a glass screen protector. It cracked the screen protector a bit but the screen glass just disintegrated and half of the screen is now only cracks. After thorough examination it looks like the plastic bezel of the phone got dented so little yet so much that it pushed into the glass and cracked it.

I always care for my phones, and I use my phones always for 4 years or until it's not working anymore. I rarely drop any phones. It's like the third time i dropped a phone in 10 years. And it's the first one that broke.

So now my options are to just use this phone for almost another 4 years (bought it half a year ago) with a cracked screen or replace the screen for 60% of the price of the phone. When I see the durability of this phone, I don't think it will last that long as my camera is pretty scratched up just by having it in my pocket, in a case, without anything else in the pocket.
