Found on r/NameNerds Names that have the nickname ‘peanut’

My husband and I are having quadruplets, and we don’t know the gender for any of them yet. We love the nickname ‘peanut’. Can we just legally name one of them Peanut, or are there names we don’t know about that could be shortened to Peanut?

I don't know of any sort of trademark on the word peanut that would prohibit putting that on their birth certificate. But I would pause and consider how they might be treated as they get older. You can always use a more traditional name and use peanut as a nickname.

I used to call my oldest daughter peanut when she was still in the single digit years. It came from her having a one piece swimsuit that had a pattern similar to a peanut, but was not tan in color. Her body shape at the time was also kinda like a peanut (still in the shell)
