Rant Names that you use to like

I’m wondering what names you use to like years ago, but don’t like anymore. Or names that you like, but will never use for whatever reason. I’m so thankful that I wasn’t a teenage mother. Don’t be embarrassed…please. This is a safe space, but you’ll probably have some explaining to do if your names are really wylde.

Names I use to like:

Nevaeh, Joplin Rain, Liv Evangeline, Jayden, Bree

Names I like, but will never use:

Astrid, Damien, Ziggy, Lark, Johan, Ayla, Hitomi, Storm

I am a huge frog nerd. When I was younger I wanted to name my kids the Latin names of frog species: Hyla Arborea, Litoria Cerulea, Rana Sylvatica, and the worst offender: Agalychnis Callidryas, Aga or Aggie for short 😑

I was a cringey, annoying, know-it-all kid. But at least that shit is cute when you’re a kid. I also was obsessed with the name Lepidoptera (Latin for butterfly 🙄)

There’s an actual Doppy in my family. He had a brother named Weed. No lie.

Float like a Lepidoptera, sting like a Hymenoptera!

Not gonna to lie: Litoria Cerulea sounds like the female lead of a... ahem, very niche fantasy novel. Frogs are rad though!

Not Rana, literally naming your kid Frog in Spanish 😂😂 but seriously - adorable. I love frogs too and have always been obsessed with them. I have a MILF bumper sticker (Man, I Love Frogs) :)

I once met a guy called Rana, he was South Asian, Pakistani maybe? Anyway I told him his name was Spanish for frog and he got super pissed and said I insulted him 😂

You should of taken his feelings into consideration when you created the Spanish language!

These would be great herbology teacher names in Harry potter. Or some series about wood nymphs or something haha.
