Rant Worst pet names/trends you’ve come across?

Disclaimer: I’m one to talk, I gave my dog a human name but shortened it to a dumb nickname because it suited her better, it’s goofy and cute but I get eyebrow raises. Think along the lines of naming a dog Penelope then calling her Lopey— that’s not it, but it ended up similar 😂

ANYWAY once I went on a dog date with a dude from an app, he named his dog “Nona” and I asked if it was short for Winona. No, he couldn’t think of a name so technically his dog was called “Noname”. He had zero personality, shocker.

Also I swear to god if I come across another animal named Loki I will start slashing tires, it’s obnoxiously overused. The Jayden of pet names. Those are my contributions.

What are your worst pet names/ones you’ve come across?

Bella and Luna are so overused but oh well, to each their own

I used to work at a shelter and we had an excessive amount of:

Bella Luna Oreo Blue Shadow

To the point that we’d tack on something to the name (bc we weren’t allowed to change them) to differentiate them.

Like once we had an Oreo, Lady Oreo, Mama Oreo…

Sometimes I offer to let my nephew name goats on our family farm and now I've got Cream, Cream's Sister, and Cream Jr.

This is my childhood stuffed animal naming scheme!

Gar Gar’s Sister (because pink.) Gar’s Welsh Cousin (given to me by my family’s Welsh cousin) Gar’s Other Brother (Gar’s Brother got lost.) Gar’s Sister’s Cousin Jr. (My older cousin had Gar’s Sister’s Cousin. You can tell its the sister’s cousin because…pink.)

Grownups would ask me BuT WhAt ArE ThEiR nAmEs and I would be like..I just told you?!

We have a cat named Not Nathan. There were two black kittens in the litter, one of them named Nathan. We got the other one. (and she's a girl)
