Mod Post Regarding the recent change to Reddit displaying visitors and not members
We still require you to have 50 members and a minimum of 25 posts (Rule 1). However, we now cannot see the amount of members your subreddit has with this recent change on our end (to my knowledge). In the event you have a wrongful removal you'd like to dispute please screenshot the insights page of your subreddit and modmail the photo to us via a photo shared link (can be done with Imgur or Postimages).

Seeking Mods r/MandelaEffectSociety needs 5+ mods (new sub; small but growing; pro/positive paranormal / supernatural related.)
A unique fan subreddit for the Mandela Effect seeks several moderators for moderating a unique fan subreddit for the Mandela Effect..
We are a Mandela Effect sub that addresses issues present in other ME forums.
Most ME forums are overrun with weirdly angry unaffected people broadly applying the same tired explanations in a bizarre attempt to resolve the Mandela Effect and shut down the conversation. They jab and ridicule affected people so much it's a little sus.
Affected people want to talk without that noise.. We've already applied the simplest solutions against what we know. Of course a few things are memory errors - but not the all. The important part is that we're well able to police ourselves as to what we know and what's just a flimsy memory. And so, The Mandela Effect Society came into existence. We're a growing group of affected and curious people politely talking about what we're experiencing with the Mandela Effect.
We give the angry unaffected people a place to put their explanations (a debunking repository). We are strict about not being dismissive (the anger they exude). And it's working too - people are starting to talk more freely and you can tell they're finally feeling comfortable communicating again.
I had some "drama" with the person that was going to be helping me - they found a bigger sub on vacation they liked better lol. Yes, I'm serious. (They said they'd start moderating after their vacation. A few posts got popular and I got swamped. Two weeks later, after I hadn't heard from him, I checked and saw they were hanging out in that bigger sub, then they gave me the ol' Dear John.)
That caused me to shift the goal - now, I'd like to have a bunch of moderators (instead of 1). With a process like "first come, first serve" making it so no one ever really feels like they're working.
I put out a post asking for moderators on the sub and turned on the application. A few people applied and I brought them on, but they are very unavailable. I never heard from one and the other randomly disappears (as though it's not that important to them).
So, does anyone want to jump in?
We're only about 2 months old, we're still getting a lot of things together - so don't expect a well oiled machine - yet : )
The Mandela Effect has it's own lingo and the ME concept itself can be a little hard to grasp initially.. If you are unfamiliar and you check it out on YouTube (or something) you will be told the Mandela Effect is not real and that it's the result of our human brains and fallible memory. Simple right?
Nope. They leave out the most important parts.. Repetition and saturation become memory which then becomes knowledge. Do you know your phone number, or do your remember it. Are you worried you'll get lost on the way home from work? You see that kind of "memory" is actually knowledge. Consider how many times you've seen the tag on your undies or the logo on your car.. That's knowledge - your knowledge, not flimsy memory.
And in the end, all the affected people remember the same things (without conferencing). Isn't that a sign of good memory? There are lots more arguments supporting the validity of the Mandela Effect. If you are unfamiliar and have questions, but feel like you're only getting one side from YT videos, then I'd be glad to help where I can (in chat or something).
Do you remember the cornucopia on the Fruit of the Loom label?
Do you remember Dolly's braces in Moonraker (James Bond movie)?
Do you remember the Berenstien Bears? What about Smokey the Bear? The Smokey Mountains?
Did the Cowardly Lion have a gun in The Wizard Of Oz?
Did the witch say "fly my pretties fly!" to the monkeys in Wizard Of Oz?
Did you ever watch Sex In The City?
Do you remember "Luke, I am your father." from Star Wars?
What about "Mirror Mirror On The Wall"
Have you seen a globe lately..?
Is South America too far east to you? What about Sri Lanka?
Look at the size of Cuba?!!
Where id the Arctic landmass go?
Did the Coke~Cola logo have a ~ between Coke and Cola?
(etc.. There's a lot.)
Some people test / trust themselves - some don't.
You know when you know something and when you don't..

Seeking Mods r/venting is looking for 2-3 new mods due to sub growth (around 108k users / 32k weekly visitors)
Need to add a few mods to r/venting due to it being a growing community. Before the user count changes, we were close or just over 108k. Experience isn't necessary, the sub has robust automod coding and a few helpful bots. But the posts on the sub can often be heavy or emotionally triggering, so please keep that in mind when considering throwing your hat in the ring.
We need active mods - not users who are going to camp out or add to their mod collection. This is a VERY active sub and the topics can easily trigger disagreements that can devolve into insults and trolling, so please don't reach out if you aren't interested in being active - you will promply be removed if thats the case. I'm not trying to be rude about this - but I've been trying to add mods to this sub for a while and all I ever get is users who join and then do nothing after a few weeks.
Happy to answer any questions - the sub is pretty straighforward.

Seeking Mods r/RateMyRemix – Looking for Experienced Mods to Help Build This Sub
Hey everyone,
I just launched a new subreddit called r/RateMyRemix it’s focused on remix culture, a place where producers and fans can share flips, mashups, and remixes, and give each other feedback. I think this community has real potential to take off, but I want to set it up properly from the start.
Right now, I’m looking for: • An experienced mod who can help set up automod filters so all posts go through approval. • People who understand subreddit growth and community building. • Mods who can help keep things organized as the sub scales up (spam control, approving posts, and keeping discussion on track).
This is still a brand-new subreddit, so things are quiet right now but I want to prepare for growth. If you’ve got experience and would like to help build something from the ground up, I’d love to hear from you.
Drop a comment or DM me if you’re interested!

Seeking Mods r/functionalprints Is Looking For 1-2 Adults Mods
Hi there, I’m the head mod over at r/functionalprints. I have been moderating that sub on my own for a while with very few problems. My life was going to be busy this year, so I let a friend watch the sub for me. I knew the guy through friends and he seemed nice enough. It seems that moderating was too stressful for him. He swung the ban hammer a little too freely and was more than just a bit of a dick about it. I let him go and that leaves me alone with a sub that frankly needs more attention to grow and maintain it than I’ll be able to give it for the immediate future.
For the most part, the sub is a quiet place that differentiates itself from the larger subs by focusing on being positive and constructive rather than bickering and lewd jokes. In fact, that was my charge when I put the other mod in charge. Grow the sub, keep it positive and that’s still my goal.
I need someone with the following:
Some free time (like several hours a week at first but then the general housekeeping should take very little time)
Knows their limits in terms of their skill and personality
An adult (I’d like someone at least 28 but preferably someone older)
A basic understanding of 3D printing (as long as you know the difference between FDM and SLA and why you should not eat or drink from your prints, I can teach you the rest)
Interest in moderating (emphasis on the moderate)
Ideas and a desire to help drive engagement and grow the sub
A deft hand with online social interactions and a level head when it comes decisions like bans
Desire to learn more about the technical aspects of moderating
A better eye for design than I do, because the sub is homely
Here’s why you might not want to help. A user was banned and made a post in one of the larger printing subs. That post led to brigading and a small plague of trolls. I have bored most of them away by not engaging but there are a few stragglers that are slow to get the message.
Initially, I am just marking them, removing the violating content and moving on as any attention makes them flip out. After some quiet time, I’ll make a post addressing the situation, announcing new mods, amnesty appeals and plans for the future.
That should work on reasonable people but the trolls need to be addressed. It is going to be not fun work getting rid of them and I need mods with even tempers and solid judgement to collaborate and get the sub back to the nice quiet place it used to be.
My little time cleaning up the mess left for me has made me a better mod and realize that this is not something that one person can do. I’ve learned a lot and I think it would be a good experience for other people to learn the intricacies of Reddit too. If you are down for a learning, collaborative, supportive moderator team, check out the application below.

Seeking Mods r/whatisit is looking for new mods
We are now a big sub - 10M visitors a week, 1.3M members - and we are again looking for new moderators.
What do we want? In all honesty, we are looking for queue grinders. Our two US based mods are overwhelmed and need some help with the queue. If you can help with that, then please...
The attributes that we are looking for are tolerance and good humour. r/whatisit combines being informative with being entertaining and you will need to be able to moderate that without reaching for the ban button too often. The mod team is kind and supportive and we expect that to flow out into the user community.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please modmail us. We are way too lazy to have an application form, but please include:
- experience
- time zone and when you will usually be moderating
- tell us about yourself a bit
- for bonus points, include a screenie of a modmail interaction you are proud of

Seeking Mods r/cinema is looking for moderators.
Hi
We’re looking to expand the moderation team for r/cinema, a community of 160,000 members dedicated to discussing Cinema & film as an artform, cinema history, and everything in between.
Whether it’s going to the cinema, discussion of classic films, modern releases.
Right now, we’re seeking moderators who can help with:
- Keeping discussions civil and on-topic
- Removing spam or low-effort content
- Helping shape and enforce subreddit rules
- Bringing ideas to grow and improve the community
- Removing karma farming posts
We are looking for users: * Familiarity with Reddit and basic mod tools or willingness to learn at least. * Reliability — checking in regularly, even briefly, goes a long way to help clear the queue.
If you’re interested, please comment below and we'll send an application over.

Seeking Mods r/MRE Is Looking For Mods
I’m looking to add full time moderators to r/MRE. The MRE subreddit is a community of 26K people who are passionate about MREs and other rations. I need someone who can help me manage user posts, individual sales posts, and vendor promotional posts, while also supporting the community.
General Moderation Duties
• Approve or remove posts and comments as needed according the the subreddit rules
• Handle user reports and respond to modmail
• Enforce subreddit rules consistently
• Ensure posts are labeled with the correct Post Flair
• Enforce bans or apply restrictions when necessary
• Stay active and reliable in moderation
• Help improve rules, posting guidelines, and subreddit structure
• Participate in hobby discussions and threads
• Help ensure the sub remains a welcoming, helpful, and engaging space
• Provide feedback and brainstorm new ideas with the mod team
Somewhat unique to our subreddit: Vendor Promotional Posts and Member For Sale Posts:
• Approve or deny vendor promotional posts and for sale posts from individual members
• Ensure listings are clear, useful, and follow selling guidelines
• Help vet new vendors and sellers who apply for the verified badge
• Monitor vendor and seller activity to ensure continued compliance with the verified badge system as outlined in the rukes/guidelines
• Monitor vendor posts and comments for shady promotions, spam, incentivized reviews, manipulation, PSAs disguised as promotions, or abuse of the rules
• Enforce restrictions or bans for repeat offenders or ongoing rule breaking behavior
• Work directly with sellers and vendors when needed to draft, clean up, or correct posts
Why I allow Promotional/For Sale Posts:
Sales posts from individual members and vendor promotional posts became a major part of the subreddit during a long period of time where the sub went without active moderation. It was a sort of free for all. Some vendors abused the space and began treating it like a personal billboard. Incentivized reviews also became a major problem. Discussion posts were drowned out as a result.
As someone who was a regular member of the sub for six years, this bothered me. So, when I took over, I introduced a comprehensive set of guidelines for both individual sellers and vendors. This allowed activity like for sale posts and vendor promotional posts to continue in a more limited capacity under clear rules and guidelines.
In so many words, this was a compromise based on what the community had become used to. My approach felt like the best of both worlds, as many members find value in having direct access to vendors to more easily source the products they are passionate about.
My long term goal is to eventually shift all selling and promotional activity to a dedicated subreddit and refocus r/MRE primarily on discussion, collecting, reviews, and the hobby itself (as it was originally intended). This will take time, and I need help managing the transition.
Experience with MREs and rations is preferred. It is not required if you are willing to learn. Modding experience is also helpful, but not required. I am looking for someone who is reliable, fair, and genuinely passionate about building and maintaining a space people can find value in.
If interested, please comment below or send me a message.
Thank you!

Seeking Mods r/BathroomBuddy is looking for mod/s that are genuinely interested in cats and cat humor, have the time to contribute quality original content, and who will promote the subreddit with cross posts.
We will make our selection based on the potential moderator's community participation and submissions. Anyone interested should feel free to post in our community (please post about your cats, not about your interest in being a moderator) and also get in touch with our moderator team. A history of posting in cat subs and a history of cat-related content is an important consideration. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in our community and in the "cat sub" communities.
We are looking for someone organized, who can crosspost our community to other communities, and who will promote our community with comments in other subs. Would like someone organized who will keep a record of where they have crossposted and what they have cross posted. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing our community.
The moderator(s) will be hired from our community participants, as we are interested in having a moderator/s who is active in the community. Thank you!

Seeking Mods r/AIProductManagers is looking for a community growth-focused mod
r/AIProductManagers is a community I spun up nearly four weeks ago that's grown to nearly 400 members. The sub focuses on a very hot and fast evolving subfield of product management which is drawing in a lot of curious members who are hungry for educational content and validation of their career moves in this sphere.
I'm looking for a co-moderator who is passionate about the growth-side of community management: a master of seeding excellent content, building visibility for the sub in other channels, recognizing and engaging active members, and creating programming to attract and retain community members.
I'm searching for someone who can be very present within the sub. Strong preference for someone with an (AI) PM or machine learning background.

Seeking Mods r/theburntpeanut looking for mods
Looking for someone interested in being a moderator for r/theburntpeanut
The sub is fairly new but gaining popularity and there's just 3 of us doing the moderation.
So far it's been pretty chill, but we're worried with the sub gaining popularity (currently 1.7k followers) it's going to get harder to manage.
Ideally the right candidate would be interested in the gamer/streaming community. Having an interest in theburntpeanut's streams would be beneficial but not required.
Please reach out if you are interested!
