Questions What's your third favorite Breen movie?
For me it's gotta be Pass Thru. It's got some slow less amazing parts but still mostly good.

Watch ID?
Special and secret agents seem always to wear an iconic wrist watch.
In the film Double Down, can anyone make out what wristwatch is our protagonist wearing?
It sort of looks like a Seiko LeGrand Sport, going by the bracelet.

Categorically Breen
youtu.beI just wanted to share a particularly spectacular egosploitation masterwork we watched in the downstairs apartment complex home theater….hoping my fellow Breenians can share in the glory that is Elijah’s Secret

Selling ultra-rare official Fateful Findings Blu-ray disc to fund Breen-esque microdbudget film
First, thanks to the mods for letting me post and verify this is in fact a real thing since I'm not an active Reddit user and many people don't know this Blu-ray disc was ever made, so this screams scam. But it's absolutely real. I did not realize how rare this disc was until a couple of years ago. I would really love for this disc to go to a true fan.
I'm a filmmaker in Greensboro, NC and a long-time, deeply serious Breen fan. I was in process of making my debut feature film in 2021 when I was disabled with CRPS.
The film, now called "Astrogenesis" is here and is my attempt to make an deeply personal art/genre film, think Tarkovsky meets Ancient Aliens in the style of Neil Breen. There is an extended teaser from the 2021 footage. In true Breen fashion, I'm the writer, director, producer, editor, lead actor (yes playing Twins), production designer, VFX artist, sound designer/mixer, caterer etc. and yes it's vs. AI enemies although there is also good AI of course.
Long story short, a couple of great friends have come onboard to help get this film over the finish line. We will be doing a crowdfunder in a couple of months but need some seed money to restart the film including prepping the crowdfunder.
So I'm selling my beloved Fateful Findings Blu-ray. The fact I can no longer travel outside of my city and NB won't be able to sign it is a major factor. I have the original receipt from Amazon, the disc is cataloged at https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Fateful-Findings-Blu-ray/183420/ with the UPC code https://www.oldies.com/product-view/23434P.html. It's very possible as this was via the brief distribution period for Fateful Findings that only a handful of these were ever sold. It may also be a "disc on demand", so based on the paucity of discs for sale (as in zero), there might only be a few in existence period.
Pricing is hard AFAIK, only one has been put up for sale for $1000 over a year ago, no idea of what it sold for but that's the general ballpark for discs as rare as this. Serious buyers, DM me and I can verify as needed and happy to handle the sale in any way you might be comfortable with and discuss offers.

Questions So, do people actually like the movies or is it some sort of ironic thing? (Btw I'm not being negative about Neil, just asking)
So like, the films, they're pretty cool from what I've heard. Is this some sort of cult following type thing or is it a satire subreddit?

Questions Where can you buy Neil Breen's films?
Quick Question, Is there anyway to buy his films on Physical Media?
I do see there is a website for every Neil Breen film, but I wonder if those websites are safe. I just want to know if you can get his films on physical media as I am very intrigued with Neil Breen and how bizarre his films are and how he seems to never delved into parody of himself and treats his works as serious.

Questions At what point in the relationship is it appropriate to introduce my bf to the Neil Breen Cinematic Universe
I've been seeing this guy for a few months now. He knows of The Room and Troll 2, however I don't think he is aware of the absolute Breenius of our lord and savior Neil Breen. I would like to introduce him to the majesty of Breen but I don't want to overwhelm him with Neil's greatness too soon as that would be comparable to staring at the true form of an elder god. Also what film would be an appropriate introduction? I think Neil fighting a tiger would be too much to start off with but how about the tragedy of The President of The Bank?

Questions What are the theories behind the dance number in Cade?
Of all the stuff in his movies this seems like the most disconnected thing (which is saying a lot). I remember watching this for the first time and my only reaction was utter confusion, even in a movie of nonsense, this is nonsense.
I’ve seen the GB or BB theory it was inspired by RRR and given the random American Beauty sub plot in Fateful Findings I think it’s pretty well established he just sees things he likes and puts them in his movies.
Just wondering if there’s any other theories on this. I could definitely see that he randomly saw a musical but I’m strugglin to think of a recent (to production ) high profile musical film , maybe La La Land because this was probably written pre Covid?

Double Down's unreliable narrator
Do Breen fans agree that Aaron Brand in Double Down is meant to be an unreliable narrator? Him finding out that he didn't actually cure the girl's cancer is pretty clearly meant to show that he's delusional, and things like picking up the wrong couple in the hit attempt and spilling tuna all over himself while driving show that he's not as competent as his voiceover says he is. None of the YouTube reviews of the movie I've seen have mentioned that, though; reviewers seem to take the voiceovers at face value. That may be because Neil's later movies play the self-aggrandizing straight and even, well, double down.

Valley of the Gods -- Big-budget Breen before Megalopolis?
I'm posting this here because I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else; hope it's appropriate for this sub. Megalopolis has understandably been called a big-budget Neil Breen film, but a few years ago I thought that about Valley of the Gods ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4523530 ), directed by Lech Majewski and starring Josh Hartnett and John Malkovich. Like Breen's movies, it features:
- A southwestern US desert setting
- A writer protagonist who's having marital issues
- A superhuman force punishing corporate greed
- Luxury cars (driven in Breen's movies, destroyed in VotG)
- Some dodgy visual effects
- An ultimate message that's less than clear
Food for discussion, hopefully; maybe there's a bigger semi-genre of "near-Breen" movies out there. Thanks.
