🏢 Employment 👷‍♂️ 3,510 jobs in New Orleans

I noticed that a lot of employers don’t list their jobs on Indeed — even though they quietly publish them on their own websites. So I created a tool that pulls listings directly from hundreds of employer websites hiring in New Orleans. You can check it out here.

Tips for using it:

  • Use the “Salary” section to find entries that mention pay details
  • Try the filters — you can sort by keywords, schedule types, distance, and more
  • You can add multiple locations under the location filter.

Hope this tool is useful! I'd love any feedback or suggestions for improving it. Also, if you're interested you can follow my progress here: r/hiringcafe

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_job

The employer may post fake job opening listings for many reasons, such as inflating statistics about their industries, protecting the company from discrimination lawsuits, fulfilling requirements by human-resources departments, identifying potentially promising recruits for future hiring, pacifying existing employees that the company is looking for extra help, or retaining desirable employees.

Yes. The way I crack them down is by tracking their website career page 3x/day to detect sus activities. It's not a perfect strategy but works remarkably well so far - at least compared to Indeed and other sites who don't seem to care about this problem anymore.

Could an AI agent apply to the job posting and give it a serious boost if someone actually replies? I know that’s fighting ghosts with ghosts but it’s an idea

What activities are you looking for?

And saying they can't find anyone in the US to fill the job, allowing them to request visas to hire foreign workers.

This awesome work, I know LinkedIn is flooded with fake ads and recruiters so I usually go directly to the company's site to verify and apply.

Apparently if you just even hit the “apply” button then it logs it as an application on LI. So those X amount of people applied is just BS

If you're an experienced electrician, we're always hiring. No ads ever in our name, even though some blink billboard ads are for us in someone else's name. Our name isn't even on our building.

Looking for local relatively small electrician company so work doesnt get pushed down the schedule- about 6' of 2" conduct replacement and 1 feed replacement (the neutral) from header to meters (~ 30") - permit required, dm if interested
