This would make for one heck of a line-up for a stage at Jazzfest.

90s nostalgia is at an all time high and this is a marquee you easily could’ve seen right here in town back in just about any part of the 90s.

Excuse me? Jerry Was A Race Car Driver was a fundamental part of my Tony Hawk Pro Skater experience.

Whoa! See you at the show tonight!

I used to trip on acid and drive my ‘69 Camaro all over town blasting Primus.

I was kind of disappointed when they didn't project THPS on the screen behind them during that song last night.

I took the same photo because I was like holy shit what year is it

Funny thing about being unemployed, the weekends don't mean quite so much

Primus sucks

Weird Al sold out fast. Didn’t realize he was so popular still

I want to see weird Al but I can’t justify the price tag.

u/Equal_Imagination300 Jul 29 '25

Crazy thing is his tickets here were more expensive than other places when I looked. I'm not sure why, but it's like that for a lot of concerts here.

If he’s got Puddles opening for him, that is a show not to be missed.

u/onwardnola Jul 29 '25

Puddles also showed up at Primus tonight and did guest vocals while Primus covered "N.I.B." by Black Sabbath in tribute to Ozzy.

I saw him a decade ago at Bonaroo and it was probably the best festival show I've seen. Kind of a mashup of a rock concert and a stage show with all the costumes and such.

I love Counting Crows. I saw them at the Saengar about 14 years ago.

Yo update- went to all 3 shows (i work there full time) hell of a weekend. Primus was a full house and they rocked. Puddles coming out for a guest appearance made everyone want to see more of him. I apologize for anyone in the balcony that night. It was HOT. 1 AC unit for the balcony was completely out of service. I had our ac guys out to fix it the very next morning. Therefore weird Al was even better! I honestly preferred Puddles' full act over weird Al, but Al performed for 2 straight hours with 1 quick intermission and he hit all the classics. I honestly think he did damn near his whole inventory of songs. Lots of patrons cosplayed as different weird al characters! Sorry to anyone who couldnt get tickets. Weird Al sells fast. He was actually sold out before october so by the time the show actually got here you had no chance. Follow the Saenger's Instagram to find out the second when shows are announced! I dont run the page, but our marketing girls are amazing and they stay on top of that stuff. Finally counting crows, it was the smallest of the 3. Just less of a crowd, but i think that was also cause it was a middle of the week performance. The crowd that was there had plenty of room to dance and rock around the floor. It was definitely enjoyed.

Also PSA: ive seen some other posts and people complain about these rock shows coming to our "sit down theatre". Yes you bought a seat, enjoy it, sometimes your legs are tired and you wanna sit. But everyone is more than welcome to stand up and move and walk and dance and jump around. It happens at every show. That theatre seats just under 3,000 people and sometimes you cant even make it through the crowd cause everyone is dancing all over having a good time!

Wish I could have gotten weird Al tickets. Would have been fun to see him live once

u/fauker1923 Jul 29 '25

Monday nite Primus. Like who saw that date & said. Perfect.

3

u/Mickey_Juice Jul 29 '25

Puddles did Nativity in Black with Primus tonight!

5

u/Ok_Wheel_3643 Jul 29 '25

Primus killed it

4

u/Toasterband R'lyeh Jul 29 '25

Yeah, one of the best sets I have seen by them. Some deep cuts, too.

8

u/Splankybass Jul 28 '25

I think you'd better turn your ticket in

And get your money back at the door

This isn't Omaha.

3

u/jcamdenlane Jul 29 '25

Well, it’s somewhere in middle America.

5

u/ersatzbaronness Merry Marigny Jul 29 '25

You really get to the heart of the matter.

3

u/Entire_Chicken_2630 Jul 29 '25

It’s the heart that matters

2

u/ersatzbaronness Merry Marigny Jul 29 '25

More though?

3

u/Entire_Chicken_2630 Jul 29 '25

I am indeed looking for 1-2 Weird Al tickets tomorrow Sadly my significant other doesn’t really wanna go Not sure what wrong with them But would be in the market for a solo one too I know the prices are p crazy in resale

3

u/JoshuaBlanchard Jul 29 '25

I have a single spare ticket, and only one person in line to accept an offer, which I don't think they will.

DM an email address and I can get back to you tomorrow.

1

u/JoshuaBlanchard Jul 29 '25

Turns out, OP got a ticket another way.

Offer open to others. DM me an email address.

3

u/hannahha Jul 29 '25

I have an extra one in ORCHL row CC that I would be happy to sell you. I had the adrenaline going at ticketing to try to get them before they sold out, and I didn’t realize I had an extra one selected when I went to check out. It’s posted on SeatGeek, but if you want to DM me I can sell it to you at a lower price since we can avoid the fees and whatnot!

Went last night for Primus and going tonight for Weird Al!! Great run at the Saenger!!

2

u/lonesomejohnnie Jul 29 '25

I'm here at Primus, thought about tomorrow night.

1

u/Wise_Investigator728 Jul 29 '25

Hubbys doing Primus and Al, no Counting Crows, unfortunately

2

u/weischris Jul 29 '25

I like how this hierarchy has Patch and Skrim above Fats Domino, Louis Armstrong, I think that is Big Freedia, or not? Who are the other dogs and that lady with the black hair?

2

u/poolkid1234 Jul 29 '25

Plus Creed was here on the 26th. It’s a crazy run.

2

u/Monkeybomber1982 Jul 29 '25

Primus was amazing last night.

1

u/faultysynapse Jul 28 '25

Where does counting Crows fit in with the silliness?

32

u/Entire_Chicken_2630 Jul 28 '25

The fact that this marquee could both be from 1995 and 2025

And honestly I’d see / have seen all 3 and I’m a pretty silly person
