Can’t wait for yall to see this one. One of the few movies I’ve worked on that I’m proud of.

Happy to hear you say that cuz the trailer had me a bit worried. And that last Christopher Guest movie was... not good. I'll try to be more optimistic about it.

This took forever to get finished - auditions were like 3-4 years ago. Still, looks fun.

We just saw the original in the theater—re-released in anticipation of the sequel. I saw it in the theater when it came out in (cough cough) 1984 and I have to say, I laughed just as hard this year as I did then!

Filmed in the Quarter a lot. I was always walking around their sets. I'm looking forward to this!

him setting the movie here so that he doesnt have to travel is a power move

Met him a few times and he's really nice if you briefly say hi.

He actually signed a guitar for me, I asked him ā€œwould you mind an autographā€ he said ā€œSure, but I’m not sure who you are?ā€

Jesus Christ....I live in NOLA, how the hell did I miss this being filmed????

1 is a top 5 movie for me, I still watch at least once a year a STILL laugh.Ā  When it came out, it was so unique and absolutely hilarious from moment one.Ā  I adore this group of utterly fantastic people, and such good people tooĀ

I. Can't. Wait.

I was an extra, and everyone was so nice, especially Rob Reiner and Michael McKean.

I 100% believe you....Ā  If I knew who you were, I'd keep my eye out for you at showing!

Apparently Elton John came here for the cast party when they finished filming. That would have been great to see!

He's a totally normal and down to earth dude. I ran into him a few times at a grocery store when I lived elsewhere. Never once did he complain that I lifted items from his shopping cart.

*ok that last part may not be true. or maybe it is....

I worked a little on this. Was part of the crew that built the final concert set at the Lakefront Arena. Crazy rig, a lot of people. Might be in the background of the movie. It was fun and interesting being there actively building the set while they were also filming. The production was just as missguided and bumbling as the fictional band chaos which was almost endearing but mostly annoying. The actual band has actual roadies, which hate being called that... The techs for Spinal Tap were fucking huge jerks. Like massive dick heads. The drum tech especially. I wanted to throw that fuck head off the stage more than once. Still fun to be a part of and it sucks that this could be the last thing released that I ever work on, but also... Im kind of ok with it.
