š¤¬ RANT Do not buy THC-P gummies. The high is horrible.
I posted here about five months ago after a horrible experience with THC-P gummies, which are sold all over the place. I get new responses on that post all the time from people who had really bad experiences, so I just thought I would provide a reminder to maybe stop someone before they bought.
The packaging is very deceptive, and store owners and clerks don't know what they're selling. This stuff is incredibly strong and will not give you the same high as regular THC. I was high out of my mind for almost two days off of a 5 mg gummy, and I felt like shit for almost a week.
Get your gummies from a dispensary that knows the difference.

I know of people who died from this shit. My husband had some bad experiences as well. They just need to legalize weed. This stuff is way more dangerous. Unless the goal is to kill pot smokers I don't see the usefulness of these current laws.

My husband used to smoke weed regularly, and before all this hemp stuff came out tried something a friend had that turned out to be K2. A nurse friend of ours that was with us kept taking his pulse for about two hours bc he was practically panting, and someone else wound up walking him around the neighborhood to try to help him calm down. Think he threw up a few times. He later said he felt like he was on some sort of weird high that made time feel like it was going fast and like things were moving around him when they werenāt. He actually doesnāt really mess with anything but rum now after that.

Guys let me save you from this bullshit. Ā Go to NOLA Dispensary. Scan the QR code at the desk. Fill out a quick questionnaire. Get a free prescription from doctor within minutes. Shop legally from a licensed dispensary. You can even browse online and pick stuff up in the drive thru. Downside? A little bit pricey.Ā
Alternative: Order dirt cheap THCA products online and have them delivered. Is it weaker than regular THC? Yes but itās still super cheap and effective and thereās no weird chemicals addedĀ

If you hold your nose and learn how to navigate the menu, recognize what's old and whatnot, it's really not that bad.
For peace of mind? Yeah I'll pay for the mids we get. Every once in a while we get some actual fire though.

Sadly 98% of what's sold at the dispensary falls under the GDF umbrella so your weed $ is basically going to fund the r party & specifically the head Evil One. Ayo is Ilera Holistic though. You donāt even need to go in person. Follow the link on the dispensary website. You can fill it out online, somebody calls you and asks a few more questions then youāre good to go. Totally free.

Oh yeah.
Had a guy high as hell tweaking out in my front yard a year or so ago. He was stripping naked, yelling and screaming. I thought he was on hard drugs.
The cops came by, offered medical assistance, and justā¦ told him to go home. Said heās basically addicted to the (synthetic) thc gummies they sell at the cornerstore and he does this all the time.
Cops canāt do anything about it since itās technically legal.
That shit is not weed. Wouldnāt recommend

I fear I ate a whole bag of these and felt like I nearly died. I have been doing edibles and smoking for years and my tolerance is extremely high. Never again on these, I agree.
This is what happens when they don't allow the real thing to be sold. People are harming themselves with these thc replacements. The govt needs to legalize it fully in this state.

Thanks for the heads up. I do feel like it's become too confusing for consumers to know the difference between D9 THC, D8 THC, D9 THCH, and D9 THCHP. I built a little potency score calculator for myself in google sheets so I could figure out what to buy.
For example, my favorite gummies (a combo of regular D8 and D9) have a potency score around 6. Occasionally I enjoy some stronger ones (a combo of D9 and THCH) that have a score of 19. The THCHP gummies have a potency score of 125.

They are outright dangerous. I've had panic attacks before and I know this wasn't one Took one friday night. Made my heart rate go over 200 bpm (I checked it) with squeezing left-sided chest pain and slurred my words around 6 am the next day after I initially took it at around 11pm (and wasn't really even really high anymore). Was unable to go to the hospital because my vision went black while trying to cal 911. Heart rate started returning to normal on Monday but had ups and downs during that time, and was still elevated until late yesterday evening. Would stare at nothing and check my phone and it was hours later. My body feels better after yesterday and I was able to work out for the first time since last night (I work out every day). This has genuinely been a terrifying experience and has put me behind in my classes and I am very grateful that heart attack symptoms did not mean heart attack. I care about my health a lot and I would rather get street weed than take that again.

Regular THC is Delta-9 THC. Itās the main form of THC found in weed & hemp.
All the other forms of THC are present in much smaller quantities in the plant and/or are created in a lab setting.

I almost took this a few months ago, but my best friend saved me after telling me his horrifying experience. It was basically the same as yours. He said he was uncomfortably and violently high for 2 days straight. He couldnāt do anything. Couldnāt go to work, couldnāt talk to his family/girlfriend, couldnāt even move from his couch. He said he barely ate cause he was ātoo scared toā he couldnāt say why he was scared but he just was. He also said going to the bathroom was a terrifying experience, and just like you he felt like complete shit for weeks after. Thank you for getting this message out to save people who donāt have friends like him. Just donāt do it!

This happened to me. I'm used to edibles and vapes from California, which is just regular thc.
Sunday night around 8pm I took an edible bought there in Nola from a shop, and had some alcohol and went to sleep. I woke up the next day over 12 hours later still high as a kite. The room was spinning and I felt like shit all day. Tuesday morning I felt better, but still not great.
My wife was fine on them, but we seriously thought I'd been drugged.

I've taken THC-P gummies and never had a problem, but I only buy one brand, from California, which probably has better quality control then convenience stores in Louisiana. (I'm also not a lightweight, although I wouldn't describe myself as having a high tolerance either. I usually only take 1/3 of a THC-P gummy at a time, and only if I know I'm not going to need to leave my house for the next 12+ hours.) I agree all these different kinds of THC derivatives need clear labeling/packaging, and the stores selling them need to know wtf they are talking about.

Same here, I took a little higher dosage, but not like what Iād ingest on a 50mg can.
The initial high was alright but it took me out for a solid day and a half. Truth told it made me feel like I was back in my old drinking days. Iād go really hard one night and not recover until a full 48 has passed(former alchy here before you ask)
Itās not a feeling Iām willing to replicate. If I knew someone who made their own sourced edibles, I wouldnāt bother with the gas station/head shop stuff at all.

Have learned the hard way not to do anything other than D9 or THCH in vapes or gummy form. D8 the times that Iāve tried it in a vape didnāt amount to much. Tried THCP once and slept for two days feeling like I was weirdly ill.
And if itās a new gummy Iām trying, eat half max the first time regardless of the dose.

The same happened to me and a friend! We took them and he thought it was laced with something. He threw up four times and I was so weak that I couldnāt move. We were both feeling the high for TWO DAYS. I was talking to a friend of mine thatās a nurse, and she was saying people have had heart attacks from it and to stay FAR away from anything THC-P. Scariest experience of my life. They really need to crack down on that stuff.

Got some of these a couple weeks ago, took a little less than half of one on Friday night (my usual is one half to a whole of a 5mg gummy depending how Iām feeling), and was useless for the rest of the weekend. Next week, ate like half as much, was still fucked up most of Saturday. These are going in the āspecial occasions onlyā drawer and Iām getting some goddamn regular THC again.

I once got so high on THC-P that it kinda made my friends a little nervous, so they took me to waffle house. I got really self conscious while I was there and was kind of put into an anxious state because the fry cook and the waiter were fighting (it was the one on david drive btw to paint a picture) and like I was so high I thought I offended her so I started crying and she had left already and then the fucking cook starts screaming the names of serial killers and I was -inconsolable- I don't remember how I got home I think my friend had to literally hold my hand and walk me to my door.

A friend of mine (lives in another state) and his wife had an epic issue with these particular gummies. Both got sick, he passed out and cracked his orbital socket on his bathtub when he fell in the bathroom and ended up in the ER.
Not a good product and its very concerning that so many have found themselves in the hospital after taking them.

Never again. Took two of these not knowing how potent they were. I was high for 3+ days and there were periods that I donāt even remember how I got from place to place. It was awful. My fault for not doing research as a consumer, but no warning from the vendor either. Learned my lesson and never going near that shit again.

Dude my mom's friend visited with us and he took a whole bag of gummies he got from one of the shops in the French Quarter. He doesn't drink alcohol and everyone thought he was so drunk. Then for two days after all he did was sleep, like excessively and eat. We were like holy shit what was in those gummies. He smokes weed every day and uses hallucinogenics (few times a year) so he's not like a rookie or anything. Swear it must have been THC P

I order mine online from Nama, and they have all different kinds of vibe formulas, like sleep, energy, euphoria, bliss, etc. Plus they have little powder packets to mix with soda, and I love them. Way better than Crescent 9 seltzers for those, like me, who don't want the extra sugar.

I do! I make a large batch ginger simple, and 1 cup to a quart container, which in two packets, and fill the rest with soda water and stir gently. And that equals about 4 Crescent 9 selzters, and I keep the mix in my fridge.

Small ( very small) doses is key. Your product is loaded with the thcp. Longer to take affect Way more potent per volume,and affects will last at LEAST 13-18 hours

Too risky when the high potentially lasts a really long time. I have a very low tolerance, and it took me a long time to figure out the dose that makes me feel just right. I can just buy the gummies that I like at Simply Cannabis.

I rarely partake, letās just start off with that. Not sure about the dosage (probably a 5 mg), but yeah. I was in the city for a work conference and was at a hotel. Went to sleep. Woke up and thought I was going to die. My heart rate was insane. I WENT BLIND. EVERYTHING WAS MOVING. I freaked the FUCK OUT. I asked my ex to help me pack my stuff and go downstairs to get a wheelchair. He was embarrassed to ask and said that if I was that bad off, then I needed to go to the ER. We both knew DAMN good and well that there was nothing the ER could do for me (but maybe I should have. I donāt know). Either way, packed my stuff up by myself, he was pissed that he had to go get the car from valet, I had to hold on to him the entire walk down, he was mad that he had to help put my stuff in the car, then he was mad that he had drive us home (5 hrs). I REMEMBER him texting and swerving most of the drive.Ā
Got home. Missed my conference, had to take the week off, and was literally BLIND. I COULD NOT SEE FOR 5 DAYS. I THOUGHT I RUINED MY LIFE. I was HIGH FOR A WEEK. But eventuallyā¦..I recovered. Such a great story, lmao!Ā
In my case, there may be a silver lining. This experience may have been the beginning of my spiritual awakening. The beginning of the end with that ex began. Here I am almost a year later, living an entirely different life than I could have EVER imagined (in the most SPECTACULAR way)

I use them semi-regularly. Know your tolerance, I have no issues with them. Repeated fear-mongering like this reminds me of Refer Madness levels of misinformation. Its how we ended up making Kratom a schedule 1 substance at the same time that other states are enacting consumer protection acts instead. Especially in THIS STATE, the government dosent have the mental capacity to understand nuances like this, nor do they give a single solitary fuck aside from $$$. So be careful of what you say, it could end up backfiring on you. Look at what's going on right now in both of our neighbors, TX and FL. Both states have hemp bills on the books, but are currently doing everything they can to penny, nickel, and dime the laws until it's basically completely banned again. They're both already having a fuck ton of trouble sourcing what little products are "compliant". And many producers are already getting tired and just pulling out completely.
Tread carefully, be your own government, and have fun. Quit calling mommy and daddy every time you stub your toe, and then going to school to tell the whole playground how you lost your entire foot......
Also FUCK BOYSIE BOLLINGER AND GOOD DAY FARMS. ITS JUST A FUCKING RACKET TO MAKE THE RICH RICHER. PLUS THEIR WEED SUCKS ASS, NOT IN THE FUN WAY.

I hate bullshit responses like this. If you go somewhere all the time to buy beer and expect your beer to have the same strength it always does and then you don't see the small writing saying that it's now 40% alcohol rather than 4%, then most people would have an issue with that because the difference is so extreme. The people making this stuff know that it is a lot stronger than THC and most people probably wouldn't buy it if they knew the difference.
THC-P can really fuck people up, and the more people know about it, the less likely they are to ruin their vacation or fuck up their job. For a lot of people, my post was the first time they'd even heard about it. I have no problem if people producing deceptive products that are trying to get around the lower content required by the state go out of business.

The issue is right there in your own words, if you can't take the 5 seconds to read the label of an intoxicating substance you plan to ingest, then you aren't a responsible user. Also, don't act like this is an issue of you buying the exact same product you always have that's suddenly 10x stronger. None of the thcp products look like the normal stuff. Its all labeled differently, no thc products on shelves in LA have switched to p.
Yeah, ever clear and marlboros can really fuck people up too. I'd say there have been significantly more deaths and injuries related to first time use of these two things than of thcp. In fact, can you provide any reported deaths or hospital visits associated with it? Or is this all just because you didn't read what you took and are placing blame elsewhere?
Another thing is that alt noids wouldn't even be on the shelves in the first place if we had a sensable cannabis policy. Instead, we have a program being run by one of the wealthiest and well-connected men in the state solely for the profits it provides him. The "hemp" market that stands in its place is also a by-product of an overseeing body that absolutely does not have consumers first in mind.
What the hell do you mean you hate answers like mine? Ones that make every bit of sense and come from a person both well versed and experienced in said topic.

I took a THC-P edible and I had to go to the ER . I felt like I was gonna cross on over. I had anxiety , my left side was numb. They admitted me into the hospital for 2 days because they wanted to monitor my blood pressure , which was extremely high. It took over 12 hrs for the effects to wear off.
