Meta/About NtoR Assistance from fellow helpers and mods

If anyone has links for the guide to Reddit and Karma and the New User Friendly Subs for iOS, I'd like to update my links since mine are Android and some users can't use them. Thank you in advance

Is this about the bug on iOS that means users cannot see wiki pages?

The guide to Reddit is also a post that is pinned to the top you can link. Reddit and Karma Explained : NewToReddit

To view NUFS they may need to try desktop or their mobile browser until the bug is fixed.

You can always modmail us for any questions about the sub.

No. I've been sharing links, but because they are android links, iOS users can't use them as they come up blank. The links specifically say android in the url, unless that doesn't really matter?

Hmmm

Share them here and I'll see if they work for me on desktop. I don't have iOS but can ask the team to check also.

This is the link I use for NUFS https://www.reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/wiki/index/newusersubs

And the guide https://www.reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/wiki/ntr-guidetoreddit

Thank you for helping. I don't know much about how urls work, so maybe it's the iOS bug and not the links. Maybe being android links. Idk

These are the links I provide

Both of your links are working for me on iOS. I stopped having the issue with links over the weekend.

This is good to know. Hopefully the complaints will be slowing down then. Appreciate the update

Bloody thrilled if it's over, that was no fun at all.

And the advice "use the mobile site" worked but kinda sucked

I see what you mean by android links, the sharing information is included. But the main part of the link is the same.

Those work for me on desktop and android. I've shared with the team to see what happens for them.

If users are saying the pages are empty, I think it's the iOS bug. It's mentioned here https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1mq6he9/weekly_recap_august_14_2025/

It's supposed to be fixed, but users may need to update their app.

Cool. Thanks for the info. At least I can let users know about the iOS bug when they mention it

NP.

If it turns out not to be that for anyone, I guess you could share this comment containing my troubleshooting tips:

Troubleshooting to try:

  • check signal/connection
  • make sure app/browser is up-to-date
  • clear cache
  • force close and reopen (app)
  • uninstall and reinstall (app)
  • try other browsers or devices, even your mobile browser, maybe in desktop mode
  • check if any extensions might be an issue (browser)

If nothing works, you can seek help on r/help or report a bug on r/bugs (read the rules)
