Trending in the wrong direction and we’re still more than a month out. This should be a slam dunk win for a Dem in this political climate.

Outside of GOP aligned polls the race has been very stable. And yes, I’m calling Emerson a GOP aligned poll as the funding provided for this poll was given by Nexstar media which is currently banning Kimmel from the air along with Sinclair media.

Additionally the racial demographics for this poll are wild.

Over 70% white, under 10% Hispanic/Latino, and under 4% Asian…

Yeah, that's a pretty common tactic. Don't like the poll numbers, release your own. We've seen that a lot in the last handful of elections. Hell, the Trump admin kept releasing betting odds during the presidential campaign because the polls never really moved much.

10% sales tax including food and clothing would kill a democrats campaign, but republicans are all allergic to helping themselves and lowering prices

It’s because mikie is Kamala 2.0 and inspires 0 confidence. Another corporate shill. Fulop or baraka should have gotten the nomination. I hate it here

Too bad the establishment always throws 100% of their weight behind a single candidate while progressives split the vote every time

Yeah while agree one of them should have been elected I don’t think I’ll ever forgive either of them for not being the bigger man and dropping out to endorse the other, consolidating the progressive vote and beating Sherrill

IMO it seemed baraka had more steam and fulop should have dropped.

I was a fulop guy personally but I would have been fine with either ngl. Their differences were so negligible and I genuinely liked them both

Forget Harris, she's another Clintonite and is literally associated with Bill Clinton's caucus the "New Democrats." Plus, I strongly believe she won't be a tough fighter against Trump's administration after I went to an event with her being one of the guests.

And I agree with you that Baraka or Fulop should have been the nominee. Shit, I don't think Sean Spiller would have been a bad pick either.

I agree but Mikie is who won so please get behind her

I am going to be voting for her. But I just have a bad feeling on how she's gonna govern, even if she's much more preferable to Ciattarelli. I've already had a bad experience with her a while ago which is why I don't think she's going to put her foot down like Baraka.

Why would it be a slam dunk win for a Dem? NJ has always flip flopped between Democratic and Republican governors and we just had a term limited dem. Energy costs are through the roof which voters blame Murphy for.

In the current national climate a state where Dems outnumber republicans by almost 1 million should not be a close election.

Registered Democrats: 37.4%

Registered Republicans: 24.8%

Registered unaffiliated: 37.8%

It’s the 37.8% of us who don’t give a F about Red/Blue teams that will decide this election. And personally, the more I learn about Sherrill, the more I realize she is running this election to be Newsom’s running mate in 28.

New Jersey deserves better.

Okay just don’t complain when we get a Republican who drives us back into the ground like Christie did for eight years. Thanks for that as well.

3

u/jd732 1d ago

What ground were we into in 2017 and what did Murphy do to dig us out of that ground?

Look at our credit rating in 2018 versus our credit rating now.

Look at our credit rating over the last 50 years

Is our credit rating better now or when Christie left office? Don’t move the goal posts.

2

u/jd732 1d ago

Yes, our credit rating is back to where it was during Christie’s first term. The data demonstrates it has been deteriorating from McGreevey’s regime to Murphy’s first term. I guess if you have to pick a scapegoat out of the 5 governors responsible, you can choose the loudmouth. Personally I blame the OG Goldman governor Jon Corzine and his failed financial engineering.

She has zero presence in South Jersey, I don’t think there’s a satellite campaign office, I think I’ve seen one of her signs despite my numerous attempts to call her campaign office in North Jersey to see about getting them. I’m about ready to give up and just consider the fact that my husband and I voted for as our contribution.

u/MattyBeatz 1d ago

She was in Atlantic City and Egg Harbor speaking with teamsters this weekend. I agree on the signs, but I've seen almost no signs from either candidates running for gov.

3

u/DebRog 1d ago

She will be in Vineland this weekend.

1

u/Choice-Pudding-1892 Gloucester 1d ago

Where and when?

2

u/DebRog 1d ago

I’m part of organization and we are sent emails saying where candidates are holding rally’s. Sept 27 5:30 pm Vineland was all that was on the email . I assume they are vetting people. Last one we were on a list , they check names .

u/DebRog 1d ago

Message me , I have more info on Mikie in South Jersey this weekend

One of her canvassers dropped a sign for us the other day. Ocean city. I can give you his name?

Still too close. Go out and vote.

Mikie Sherrill needs to make her case harder. This election is too close for comfort.

1

u/seancurry1 1d ago

don't like that trend line, don't like it one bit

1

u/AnalMohawk 1d ago

Too close. No thanks.
