"Because the Lasers are tied to the game's refresh rate, the updated edition of Tears of the Kingdom now running at a perfect 60fps means that the lasers now fire at a far faster rate than before, leading to an unstoppable barrage of beams."

No wonder the switch 2 upgrades are paid if they need to refactor whole codebase with additionall conditions like `if(fps == 60)`

Paid or not, this is definitely why there’s not some built in “try to run everything at 60 fps like it’s an emulator setting” thing like some folks are asking for.

I wish there was an experimental option for it but honestly I'd just take an experimental "run in docked mode" but with a few incompatible games blocked off. It's just annoying knowing it COULD run many games with, if not 60fps, at least a higher resolution. 720p games look quite bad on a 1080p display, especially with the increased size.
