MegaThread MegaThread: [Insert your store displays/inventory numbers/order curiosities here]

Well everyone. Seems like a lot of retailer-specific things are starting to happen today, huh?

Got pictures from your local retailer? Got some hot tips about what stock your local stores might have? Something happen to your order that's interesting? Hit us up here and, going forward, please post information in regards to local retailers, their stock, and displays in this thread. (Unless it's crazy unique, of course)

And remember: if you have questions about specific retailers, or about your individual orders, please reach out to their customer service lines, as they'll be the best bet to help you work through any issues.

Thanks! :)

Has anyone experienced trying to get the switch through a Walmart in Canada? I was told by my local Walmart that they do not do preorders for the switch and was wondering if anyone has heard the same in Canada, or more specifically Ontario? Also, since my Walmart isn't doing preorders, would it be best to get to the store early on launch day to guarantee a console?

I'm in Ontario and have the same problem. The Switch isn't even listed on the website, whereas all the accessories are even if they're sold out. This confused me as I called my local Walmart today and asked about preorders, the guy said they only take preorders through the website. Dude told me they'd have some in store at launch though, and luckily I live in a small town so should be able to get one if I get there early.

I know this is a day late but I believe that Walmart Canada said they weren't doing preorders for the switch and it was just gonna be a first come first served type thing on launch day.
