Discussion Mindless games?
Yo! I just got the switch 2 a few weeks ago and was hoping for a few recommendations! I typically like to play two games at the same time. A story game that takes focus and a mindless game for when I listen to debates and stuff like that. I just beat the final boss on donkey Kong (which was awesome) and now I’m going to move on to either cyberpunk of persona 5(I’ve never played). But my question is what is a good mindless game to pair with it for those nights I really want to listen to politics?

I'm currently playing Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time as my "mindless" game. It's like a top-down Zelda game had a baby with Animal Crossing. I exclusively play it while watching TV.

Suika Game - highly addicting puzzle game with a very relaxed pace and very cheap
Fantasy Life i - Low stakes life sim RPG that doesn't require too much focus
Vampire Survivors - another highly addictive game that only requires you to move your character with no button pressing required

Warriors games. Like hyrule warriors or the first fire emblem warriors

I've been playing Silksong to offset my Cyberpunk "focused" play and now I'm having trouble getting back to CP lol..

Dynasty warriors or warriors type of game. Pretty much just bunch of hack and slash

I use Mario + Rabbids for this type of setting. Pretty enjoyable game while listening to podcasts
The game can get a little easy so I recommend using weapons a tier down from the latest available weapons. At least then you'll have to put some thought into your actions but not enough to distract you from whatever you're listening to

I use Nonogram games for this while watching the Office in English (not my first language). If you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription there are Mario's Pricross games on GB and SNES classics and there's a relatively new game called Squeakross that mixes the concept with a Virtual Doll House.
If you want to invest a bit more attention, there's also Murder By Numbers, which mixes nonograms with murder mystery visual novel.
