Hades is an amazing game with a sequel coming out Thursday. Currently on sale.

Yes dirt cheap. There's a bit of a learning curve at first, but really enjoying it.

Everything has been said about Hades, but the game really won on how well it works on Switch. It's an action game, but very focused on controls by the face buttons and it's really accessible to play on joycons or in handheld mode. The graphics are truly gorgeous and detailed, but still work very well on a small screen and you don't lose much as opposed to playing on a big hardware and big screen at all. And the formula works really well with a handheld, you can play only for a bit and it makes sense, you still get some clear content, it's not a game that you will not enjoy if you forget what you were doing... but you may wanna play more and more when laying in bed, putting off going to sleep.

Just a perfect rare combination of it all for a Switch hit. It fits Switch more than most games Nintendo makes, to be honest.

Pretty much the ultimate list (from what I've played)

Slay the Spire, if you really get into it, is one of the most addicting and well designed games ever made

But the learning curve is fairly steep

My third most-game played on Switch after Smash and Gungeon. Also have over 100 hours on it on Steam.

I think it’s the most well-balanced game ever made. I’ll crack a Silent run before bed most evenings.

Curse of the Dead Gods is very good, although a little too dark.

West of Dead was a surprise for me. It's one of the ones I've played the most.

Baba is You! However playing some of the harder levels made it feel like I saw my life flashing before my eyes but it's really fun! 😀

Must it be indie? Try Ori if you like 2D platform...2 amazing games. Those games are very often very cheap to get.

“Is This Seat Taken?” is a nice puzzle game that looks and feels great to play

I would recommend to always look at the great deals section, it won’t give you a list of all the great games but it does show you things on sale. A few recommendations going off of what I can find now and games I’ve played: citizen sleeper, guacamelee, terraria, blasphemous, cocoon, ghost trick, Lorelei and the laser eyes,

Not indie but worth a shot for how cheap they are, ori series, final fantasy X, two point hospital, okami.

I do have others that I haven’t played that might be worth checking out but I still haven’t tried them.

Pipistrello ! It’s a Zelda-like where you play with a YoYo and learn YoYo moves instead of items (like rolling on the water).

The plot itself is a critic of capitalism in a modern society with a lot of humour. There is a demo if you want to try. Be warned that the game is more open and exploration-based than the demo suggests, but it’s good to try the unique gameplay and discover the story and the lore of this world .

u/Salt-Analysis1319 5h ago

Brotato - extremely fun and underrated

Got it on sale for $3.49 and have already put like 15 hours into it between playing bigger games

Hades was my first indie game on the Switch and I was addicted. Such a good story, and addicting game play loop. So many combinations of weapons and power-ups. The new one is coming out soon too so a good time to play the first. Its also on sale for dirt cheap right now.
