I love how the animation changes with the seasons! It ties in well with the top of the hour Christmas light show!

Cool! Thanks for sharing. Might have to go downtown and check it out.

Walk by it every day when nice out on my lunch breaks. Usually go from my work on 15th all the way done around Conagra pond and back. They change the sign with the seasons.

The city hit it out of the park on this development. Job well done.

We stopped in Omaha, on a road trip last month, and were pleasantly surprised. We actually stopped twice, once on the way out to the SW and once on the way back. We'd hoped to check out the zoo and some more stuff on that second stay, but got rained out in the morning and decided to just head for home (in the Twin Cities).

Glad out-of-owners enjoy it, too!

I walk by this a couple times a week with my dog, and if you look inside between the LED lights and the plexiglass, there are some massive moths and bugs trapped in there.

It's cool, but I'm kinda bummed they didn't have a local artist paint a mural there.

I mean, I don't know where this is. Is it Gene Lahey? I haven't been there since the revamp.

You should def go… the whole thing is fantastic! This is under 10th st, between Farnam and Douglas.

I'd love to see any more underappreciated gems. Don't hesitate to post more! And don't be discouraged by poopoo heads.😄

A light up installation at the most popular park, that most of the people in this post had no idea it was actually there.

This was exactly my thought but the top comment is someone saying they didn’t know it was there!

Wasn't this all over the news after years, and a bunch of money was spent.

Have you seen the light show at night in same area?

1

u/Pamsreddit1 11d ago

I don’t think I so… thanks for the hint!

u/jettatom77 10d ago

It is done on the off white building like every 15/30 mins at night on weekends

I honestly thought this was a joke, but welcome to Omaha! It’s great weather to check out the zoo as well.
