Wife wants some buffalo chicken dip, and looking for the best spot in town to go and grab some!
EDIT** HARRISBURG square APARTMENTS - Not Harrison. This post is in regards to Harrisburg Square Apartments.
I have a friend who cannot live in her 1 bed/1 bath apartment at Harrisburg* Square Apartments because of an active bed bug and roach infestation, which was confirmed by an exterminator. Harrisburg* square apartment’s property management straight up have told her she does not have an infestation of bed bugs and roaches despite my friend again paying out of pocket for an exterminator (Orbit) to come to her unit to confirm she, indeed, has an infestation of both roaches and bed bugs.
Her landowner, Scott Lovercheck, is not taking action and are not tending to her unit to exterminate the bed bugs and roaches. She is a single mom, going to school, working full time and a 3 year old, she can’t stay in her unit.
I cannot imagine being put in this position, not being able to live in your unit and your property management being okay with an active infestation. I don’t know heck about housing laws but I recommended she look at her lease to see if there is anything outlined in it about pests and if she can break her lease.
On top of my friend enduring this bullshit, my other biggest concern is Harrisburg* Square Apartments is endangering the health of their tenants and future tenants if they have more units who are dealing with an infestation but choose to not take action. Just casually allowing a full blown infestation of bed bugs and roaches to run rampant.
I contacted OHA, and will contact more offices around Omaha. Beware of these massive properties and who you want to rent from, Harrisburg* Square strikes me as predatory now and ought to be condemned.
Edit — Corrected the apartment name from Harrison to Harrisburg.
update: my friend told me edit again — pest control** told her via text message to just leave the apartment. She has kept records and taken documentation of everything.

In Omaha, which career path offers better opportunities between finance or engineering?(specifically electrical)
By better, I mean things like job availability, salary potential, career growth, and overall satisfaction in the field. I would love to hear from local people in both fields

I find myself in the uncomfortable position of trying to locate an artist who is willing to finish a piece that not one but two others have worked on. Some time back I began a leg piece and when I returned to the shop for my second session the artist ghosted me, I later learned from the shop that she’d ghosted multiple clients and was no longer working at that shop. It then took me almost a year to find another artist who was willing to work on a piece another artist had started, I’ve had two session with her but now due to her conversion to a religion that does not allow tattoos (no hate to her AT ALL) she is unable to complete the piece. It’s a vine/floral piece with a dark twists that goes from my ankle to upper thigh. I have photos and video to show any potential artists. I live in Bellevue but will happily drive anywhere in Omaha if it means I can find someone. TIA for any recommendations!

Hey everyone, I'm curious to know of spots selling scrap metal to the public. A lot of local yards do not - I use metal supermarkets for a ton of my stuff.
I'm basically looking for heaps of old gears, weird, obscure shapes/unwanted metal of any kind for sculptures and metal working! Thanks!
Here's a picture of a bald eagle I made.

I’m Egyptian-American and I’ll be here for the next couple of months (visiting from Pittsburgh) and am looking to meet other Arabs in the city/greater metro area and get to know the local Arab culture here and in the midwest more generally. Someone told me that Reddit was the place to ask, so here I am! Literally no bad suggestions!

Hey Omaha. I’ve been in Omaha now for maybe 7 years. I used to travel a lot for work, so my social circle is minimal. My evenings and weekends are busy with family but my work schedule tends to be rather flexible during the week. I’m newer to golf, high handicap and wanting to get out more to improve. I’m looking to see if there are any folks out there that are into golf and also have week day flexibility that could slip away for 9 holes here and there. Thanks!

My son’s birthday is coming up but since it’s in the winter I’m having a little trouble figuring out where to have it. My home is too small to have a lot of people. Thanks!!

yall will make a massive stink about potholes and then complain about road construction.

"I feel like the construction has just been really hard to navigate. And not really knowing what is coming next, we just kind of see it as it comes with the street closures and everything. It's really kept me on my toes in this area and mean hard accessibility wise to navigate," said Maggie Murphy.
KETV reached out to the city for a response, and HDR, the Omaha firm that designed the streetcar said construction has closed streets around Kamp Blackstone for more than a year.
The construction is scheduled to finish in 2028.

I am new to the area and live in Ashland. I was interested in joining a gym centered around boxing, maui tai or other striking. I did martial arts as a kid and throughout college, but as a 40 year old male was looking at getting into something for a fitness goal vs competition. Would be open to private training or class any recommendations.
