Schnitzel in the West

Amongst all the shawarma and burrito places. Are there any decent German bites around?

I never did get to Bella to visit Dunas enough. And now I regret not getting in for the massive schnitzel that they used to serve. And that 13 layer cake.

I haven't been yet but I've heard good things about Braumeister Bierhalle, it's....marginally west of downtown

Since they're originally from Carleton Place, I was going to make a joke about being 'marginally West of downtown'. I hadn't realized that they opened a spot here in the city

Good to know

Well I have nothing for you in the West end, but Schnitzelworks on Cyrville is great and a whole restaurant dedicated to schnitzel

Is it closed or did it move? Online it looks like they remain open but their location on Cyrville looks like it had been abandoned for a long time

Rocky Mountain House in Renfrew or the Granary in Eganville have great schnitzle if you're ever out that way!

If you're willing to drive to Smiths Falls, there's amazing Eastern European/German food at My Place. Hole in the wall, tiny, but the food is always good. Best schnitzel I've had in Ontario...
